Dione (Pov)
"Dione, Paul said that there's a match today, want to watch?" Alice asked me after the class ended.
"Sure." I replied while fixing my things. Alice texted Paul to save us seats.
"Let's buy some snacks first." Alice suggested. We went into the cafeteria. Alice looked a little stunned by someone, I look at her.
"What's wrong?" I asked with confusion.
"It's the bit girls." She lowly whispered enough to hear." I looked at the direction she was looking and saw… uhh???
"Seriously? They looked like from the circus." I said in disbelief. Alice silently laughed. We stand in line.
"What will you get?" Alice asked me. I investigated the menu and saw one of my favorite foods.
"Cheesecake, Blueberry and water." I answered. "What about yours?"
"Same also." She replied. It was our turn when someone inserted in front of us.
"Hi, can we get some expresso and chocolate cake?" She ordered. Alice was stunned and tap the girls' shoulder.
"Excuse me, but we are here first." Alice coldly said. The girl turned to us and looked shocked. Oh?
"Oh, hi Tina." I greeted with a poker face. Tina bows her head.
"Oh-h I'm sorr-y, Miss Alice, Miss Dione." She quickly apologized. "I will pay for your order. I'm terribly sorry." She bowed and apologized again. Alice and I looked at each other.
"Oh, you better be." Alice replied. I just sighed.
"We both want Cheesecake, Blueberry, Brownies, soda and water." I simply told her. She nods and orders the food for us. We sat on the vacant seats while waiting for our order. Tina is shy on sitting with us while Alice told me that the 'bit girls' are looking at us.
"Tina, you know the 'bit girls' right?" Alice asked Tina.
"Bit girls? Yes, they're that girls, right?" Tina looked at the bit girls' direction.
"Yup, what are your thoughts on them?"
"Well, I heard that they are a bully." Tina said. Alice formed an O mouth shape.
"Good thing we're ugly, they won't bully us." Alice said while nodding her head. I just shrug and Tina looked dumbfounded.
"If you call yourself ugly, what am I then? You two are like the top-idols here in college." Tina exclaimed. I looked at her with curiosity.
"Top idol?" I asked. Tina looked shock that I was unaware.
"You and Alice are picked as the it girls in college. The bit girls gained that name because they threw a tantrum that they didn't win in the votes. And currently, they're glaring at you." Tina explained. I looked at the bit girl's direction and saw that they are really glaring. Especially the one in the middle. I tilted my head and blinked twice. She looked away.
"Wow, you made their leader looked away." Tina looked amused.
"Well, that's Dione for you." Alice said proudly. I rolled my eyes and saw that our order is ready. We grab it.
"Thanks for the treat, Tina." Alice thanked Tina. Tina smiled.
"It's my fault for inserting in line especially when it's your turn." She replied. "You're also going to watch the game?" She asks. I nodded. She smiled.
"You're going to watch the also?" Alice asked. Tina shakes her head.
"As much as I want to, I still have class." Tina told us. We bid our goodbyes.
Alice and I arrived at the court. Paul is sitting at the bench outside the court.
"Hey." Alice greeted. Paul smiled while I just waved at him.
"Hi Babe, I already reserved a seat for you and Dione." Paul told Alice. She side hugged him. I rolled my eyes and just went ahead.
"Hey Paul, where is our seat?" I asked him.
"Over there, Elijah's sitting it for you." He answered. Elijah?
"Who?" I asked. Alice shook her head.
"Isn't he your crush?" She tried to make me remember. I blinked and recalled a few moments later.
"Oh, I forgot about that." I flatly said. Alice laughed and Paul just smiled. We went to where Elijah is.
"Yo, Eli." Paul fist bumps Elijah. Elijah looked at me.
"Hi, I told you we will see each other again." He greeted and smiled. I stared at him, blankly.
"Oh, Hi." I responded. "Can I take a seat now?" I asked. He tapped the chair beside him. I quickly sat and crossed my legs.
"How is your weekend?" Elijah strikes a conversation. I raised my shoulder.
"Good. Yours?" I asked.
"Just played some Basketball and study." He answered.
"Oh. I see." I only said. A few moments later…
"So, I'm thinking if you'd like to hang out afterwards or tomorrow? Since I heard that there will be a school meeting." He spoke. I looked at him.
"If it's okay with you, I want Alice and Paul to come along." I firmly said. He nods.
"Fine with me, I understand that." He answered with a smile. "So, it's a deal then?"
"If you win, that is." I challenged him. He smirked.
"Challenging me? Fine." He bravely said and stood up when the coach called for them.
Alice sat beside me.
"What was that about?" She curiously asked.
"If his team wins, we're going to hang out, the four of us after or tomorrow." I said to her. Her eyes grew.
"Bro, you do realize that the only person who can defeat that monster is the Tyrant on Chloe's school, right?" I looked at her.
"Tyrant?" I asked.
"Marco the Tyrant. That's his title in the court." She revealed. Oh, that guy? I felt a little chills, but I just shrug it off.
"Anyway, it's not a bad thing, it's just a game." I said like nothing's wrong. Alice surrendered and watches the game that had just started.
"GO PAUL!" She cheered. My ears hurt!
"Go Paul my dear!" Someone from the crowd cheered. We both looked at the voice's direction to see the bit girls. Alice looked ready to start a cat fight when I grabbed her arm.
"Don't. We should not cause trouble." I said to her. She took a deep breathe.
"Right. He is mine anyway." She also boasted. I rolled her eyes and looked at the score. My eyes grew wide.
46-29
What? It is only the 2nd quarter of the game!
"Is it normal to be surprised on the scoreboard." I asked Alice who is busy cheering for her boyfriend. She turned to me and answered.
"That's nothing, it's normal here. Wait till you see the interschool." She then goes back to cheer.
I just sighed and ate some cheesecake.
After the game. Elijah immediately went to our side.
"So, it's set then?" He grinned.
"I never said that I'll go with you." I spoke. Elijah's grin dropped.
"But you said—" He recalled what I said. "You got me." He sighed.
"But I guess I'll go if it's your treat." I said. He smiled.
"Of course, I'll only treat you, Paul can treat Alice." He bluntly said.
"Hey!" Alice complained.
"So, later or tomorrow?" He asked.
"We can do it tomorrow; I want to sleep already." I yawned. Elijah nods
"Let us take you home. So, I would know where to pick you up tomorrow." He offered. I nodded and sat on the bench again and waited for Elijah.
"We'll just drive behind you, don't worry." Alice assured me. I smiled at her.
"Are you sleeping on my house again?" I asked. She nodded.
"Duh, My mom really doesn't care as long as I'm at your house." She chuckled.
"Well, I am her adopted daughter also." We laughed.
"Let's go?" Elijah asked me. I nodded and about to take my bag when he already has it on his hand. "Let me." He said. I just let him took my bag and leads me to his car. He opened the passenger seat, and I went in first. He placed my bag below me and closes the door. I fasten my seatbelt as he went inside the car. He started the engine, and we rode off. Alice and Paul are right behind us. We arrived at my village and gave him instructions where to turn. We safely arrived.
"Thanks for the ride."
"No problem. See you tomorrow." He bids goodbye. I nodded and got off the car. I saw Alice heading towards me and we both get inside the house.
"What did you two talk about?" She excitedly asked. I just shrugged.
"Let's eat and sleep. I'm drained." I only answered. Alice understood and stayed quiet.
