With the matter of the falling Realm swiftly resolved, there was time to make their trip to the caverns. It was much better now because the permanent darkness had been lifted and Reqiel could see the true beauty of the caverns.
The castle was completely deserted, but it wasn't eerie, the black crystal castle walls seemed to exude warmth. With all of the dark essence gone, the lighting was still dim but the burning lamps chased the remnants of the darkness away.
Now that Andras no longer avoided the light, he considered carving a hole through the roof of the cavernous space to let in more light. However, the castle was made of pure crystal, even with a forbidding forest like the one around to deter humans, a crystal castle in the middle of nowhere was sure to attract humans, so he would find an alternative.
It was late in the afternoon now, the day had been quite a busy one, so much so that the passing of the time wasn't noticeable.
