Sarell was so entertained by the comical sight of Reqiel getting knocked off his feet that he didn't even mind picking up the stray balls of yarn, still wiping away tears minutes later.
Reqiel stood in front of the dresser to brush his hair while Sarell did that, pretending to grumble in upset at the other's glee at his misfortune. He took out the bead from his hair, brushed it out, and then braided it into a lock of hair in his face. After several years of braiding his own hair, he could deftly do it without even looking.
When he was done, he took hair from the sides of his hair, twisted it into a knot and held it in place with his dagger. He had done it on a whim when he was bored one day and now it had become his routine.
