Sarell walked with Prince Velia to Reqiel's room, it was quickly becoming a habit. He went to Reqiel's side and was so shocked by what he saw that he stood still for a few seconds. Reqiel looked so healthy that Sarell was certain that he would open his eyes.
Did his mother's presence cause such a positive change? Erlan did mention he would wake up sooner but surely he didn't mean right the next day?
Erlan came with the sunrise this time, Shandri immediately going to Reqiel's side. Sarell stared at them both with scarcely concealed horror noting how pale and drawn they both looked.
Shandri gave Erlan space to check Reqiel over, looking on nervously although there was really no reason to be worried.
Erlan sighed heavily after he was done, stepping away from the bed to sit instead of leaving like he did the day before.
