All of a sudden, Alex felt a pull from multiple directions accompanied with mild headache and the world around him transformed, he found himself lying in a completely different place, surrounded by a kaleidoscope of colours and strange noises. Alex's heart raced as he tried to make sense of his surroundings.
He was lying on lush grass in a forest. Alex tried to stand up and survey his surroundings, to find out what happened. Alex felt something weird happening in his body, choosing to ignore it for now, in order to survey his surroundings. After seeing himself in a forest, Alex assumed he was in the woods near the mountain.
Alex then looked down at his own hands, and to his astonishment, he felt something strange flowing in his body. It flowed like blood in his body within a regular pattern. Instead of feeling repulsed, he felt better than ever before. He tried to sense what it was and felt a deep sense of connection with his surrounding that he had never experienced before.
Alex heard a rustling coming from a corner. He travelled in the direction of the sound and saw something he never thought was possible. A cat with the tip of its tail on fire was lazing around eating some berries. As Alex searched the surroundings, he saw the cause of the rustling, two monkey-like creatures with green fur and blue patterns on their bodies seemed to be chasing one another by jumping from one tree branch to another. After some while they seemed to manifest water out of nowhere and dumped it on the cat.
This startled Alex as he never expected to see something like this. It reminded Alex of Uncle Johnson's stories, suddenly feeling melancholic, Alex turned towards the cat to distract himself. The cat momentarily startled from being bathed in water, dumbfoundedly turned towards the monkeys. After seeing the monkeys laughing, the cat's tail flared up again but this time with more intensity. The angry cat growled and chased after the monkeys which in turn sped off somewhere while taunting the cat.
After seeing the comedic scene, Alex realized he had been transported to a new universe, a realm that pulsed with mysterious energy and was inhabited by mystical beings. The sun shone brightly in the sky, casting a warm glow on the lush greenery that surrounded him. Alex could see mountains in the distance, their peaks shrouded in clouds, and a vast forest that seemed to stretch on endlessly.
Amidst the mesmerizing tableau, a group of figures approached Alex. From counting them Alex realized they were 12 in number, When they got closer, Alex realized that their forms completely defied expectations. From afar, they appeared human, but upon closer inspection, it was evident that each possessed distinct non-human features. One of them had skin composed of miniature rocks, another boasted flaming eyes and fiery gloves. There were even beings reminiscent of an angel and a devil. And then there was a figure that appeared to flicker intermittently as if caught in a temporal glitch. The bodies of these people shimmered with an otherworldly luminescence.
Seeing such a scene Alex tried to pinch himself to see whether it was a dream because everything was so apart from reality that he couldn't make any sense of it.
But feeling the pain and seeing everything with his eyes forced him to believe that it was all real.
One of the people stepped forward, he was a man with hair that seems to be made of shimmering bolts of electricity, his eyes glowing with a fierce electric blue. Sparks dance along his fingertips, and his presence exudes terrifying energy. Alex realized that he was speaking to him in a language that he couldn't understand. Suddenly, he started to hear the words in English.
"Greetings, young one," the creature said. "We have been waiting for you."
Alex was taken aback by his words, unsure of how to respond.
"Who are you?" he asked, not sure where to start.
"We are the guardians of the elements, the keepers of magic," the creature replied. "You have been chosen by the elements to become their representative, to wield the power of magic and shape the destiny of this world."
Alex was stunned by the man's words. He had always dreamed of being something more than ordinary, but he had never imagined that he would become a magic user.
"What do I even need to do?" he asked, still unsure why he was even here.
"First, you must understand the elements and their properties," the creature said. "You possess a connection to the elements, and with our guidance, you can learn to harness their power. Your mission will be explained to you later on."
As the creature spoke, a strange sensation washed over Alex. He felt as though the man in front of him exuded power, a type which he has never known.
The creature gestured towards one of the closest mountains in the distance.
"First you must reach the mountain top after which your official training will begin," it said. "Go forth, young mage."
With those words, the creature vanished, leaving Alex alone in this new and strange world.
Alex was still momentarily perplexed by the new reality he was thrust into. After resting and contemplating for a while, he reached a firm decision to commence his journey while the sun was still up and see what awaited him in this new reality.
Alex took a deep breath and looked toward the mountain he was supposed to climb. He felt a sense of purpose like he had never experienced before, a drive to uncover the mysteries of this magical realm and master the power that comes with becoming a mage.
With a resolute determination burning in his eyes, he spoke aloud to himself, "This is my opportunity to venture into a realm of wonders. I will not let the fear hinder me." With every word, his voice grew stronger and more resolute. "I will press forward and strive to become better in this new world with the powers. Who knows maybe this is the turning point of my life I have always tried to look for."
And so, with unwavering resolve, Alex set forth towards the mountain, its majestic peak beckoning him like an ancient sentinel guarding the secrets of the realm. Each step brought him closer to his destined encounter, his mind abuzz with anticipation and curiosity.
