Mike had asked Kitty, Cassandra, and Megan to speak with him privately. Others close to him would get a watered-down version, and those not close to him would get nothing, but these three cared for him a lot. He was realizing he cared for them, too. They deserved the whole truth, and he was going to tell them.
"Listen, what I'm about to tell you sounds far-fetched, but I swear it's the truth." He began nervous. "I'm not originally from this universe."
"What like an alien?" Kitty asked.
"No, I'm human, I died, and instead of the afterlife, I was sent here." Mike replied. "When I arrived, I received a power."
"Super intellect?" Cassandra guessed.
"No, let him finish." Megan stated. She seemed the least surprised, Mike realized she probably knew about this a while ago and was waiting for him to bring it up himself.
"I was given something called the Gundam System. It was a story in my old world about giant robots. It spawned several comics, games, movies, and TV shows. The system allows me to summon technology information and even people from the series."
"So none of this is your idea?" Cassandra asked.
"Yes and no, I've been given knowledge, and I use it, how, I see fit." Mike replied. "The system does far more than that, though."
The girls waited for him to continue.
"It gives missions for me to accomplish. When I complete them, it gives out rewards, but if I fail, as I discovered recently, it also issues punishments."
"Like what?" Kitty asked.
"When I failed to stop the theft of the Zakus, it let a great evil loose into this universe. It's called the Devil Gundam. It wants to consume everything to make itself more powerful. It can greate an army, raise the dead, and corrupt people with power." Mike paused, "I have no idea where it is, but I know it will come here eventually."
Mike expected the next question to be about it, but instead, it came from Cassandra. " Summon people, what like slaves?"She said in disgust.
"No, not slaves." Mike quickly corrected, "They have a little loyalty as a result of the system, but they are free to make their own decisions. If I do something that goes against their values, then they could turn against me. In no way are they slaves and I will always treat them as equals. A lot of people I will summon, like Waltfeld, know the cost of war. Many of them will choose to invest in my idea of creating a peaceful nation that anyone is free to live in."
Cassandra nodded, not perfect, but at least they weren't slaves summoned to fight.
Megan then surprised everyone, "About timenyou told everyone I thought you were going to keep it a secret forever."
When everyone looked at her, she tapped her head. "Mind reader, remember?" They all laughed at that.
"Who else knows?" Cassandra asked
"Waltfeld, since he came from the system. I plan on letting Tony and Reed know a little but not all. After all, Devil Gundam is a threat to everyone." Mike answered.
Waltfeld entered, clapping his hands. "And on that, note kiddies get ready for bed. You will be up at 5 am tomorrow to start training." He said with a little too much enthusiasm.
Everyone groaned, and Mike replied, "I'll be up another hour or so. I want to arrange a meeting with Stark and Richards for tomorrow."
"Ask Bruce, too." Cassandra said, "He can be a bit paranoid, but he is also the best strategist we have and can be helpful in creating defenses against the Devil Gundam."
"Agreed, thank you. I'll ask them. Luckily, they are still on the station for their vacation. By the way, who is watching Gotham?" Mike responded
"A group of batbots that Bruce had built to keep an eye on things while he is away." Cassandra responded, shrugging.
