"Only water?" Jack asked as he saw Drey with only had a glass of water in front of them.
"Yeah, we aren't hungry." Melissa said although they didn't even look at the cups once.
"They don't eat much." Jeremy said as he picked up his fork and knife.
"Wait!" Jack said almost urgently. "I must pray first before I eat, wouldn't you like to join me?" He said although it didn't seem like a offer.
"Sure, why not. Who am I to deny a prayer" Jeremy said as he gently put the utensils down.
"Great. Now it's just like this." Jack said as he clasped his hands and closed his eyes. Everyone at their table followed behind him. Even Kyle and his servants. Then he started "Dear Holy Father, I thank you for allowing us to wake up under these conditions, I also thank you for allowing me and my colleagues to meet the infamous ANM. I hope you continue to bless us with your graciousness. Amen." Jack finished.
"Amen." The table members said before opening their eyes.
"We should talk while we eat. I love to enjoy conversations with a good meal." Jeremy said as he picked up his utensils.
"Of course. Where would you like to start?" Jack asked as he started eating.
"Well we're only meeting for one thing. We realize some organizations wouldn't want to risk getting involved with us because of the CICA so all we need is for you to open the routes for us to get through." Jeremy said as he barely looked up from his plate.
"No." Jack said blatantly. "We'll work with you, the CICA isn't a threat. You aren't dealing with the CICA anyway, it's HPA but I suppose since they work under them it doesn't matter." Jack said as he did the same. "But of course we'll also allow you to make deals in our territory if you have something for us in return." He took a slight before finishing.
"Yes we'll-" "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? I DIDN'T ORDER THIS SHIT." A man began loudly barrating a waiter which pulled his attention.
"He sounds like one of the guys who I heard talking earlier." Kyle thought as he stared at his food trying to eat it.
"I'm sorry sir, can you please calm down and tell me what's wrong with the order." The waiter replied, trying to extinguish his anger.
"Nevermind them, what were you saying?" Jack asked as he continued to enjoy his food.
"Well…. of course we can match that. But once we make this deal, we are partners. Are you ready for that?" Jeremy asked as he went right back to eating.
"Yes we are. The Royale only look for relationships of longevity and loyalty." Jack said as he stopped eating.
"That's great, that's what we're looking for as well. I think we have a great partnership starting for us." Jeremy said as he finished his food.
"I- Did you even taste it?" Jack suddenly stopped himself as he noticed Jeremy's empty plate.
"Yeah I did, it was good. I'd get another plate but I don't think it'll be a good idea." Jeremy said as he picked up his cup.
"…. I suppose, well since we're on the same page why don't we agree to right now and get the documents later. "Jack said as he put his utensils down and cleaned his hands and mouth with a napkin.
"Yes, let's get this part over with." Jeremy said as he took his gloves to shake his hand.
"It taste more bitter than what I thought." Kyle thought as he drunk the soup.
*Cl-cick* "Wait isn't that the sound of-" Kyle quickly looked up and began to look around. ~snifff~ it was different smell, completely distinctive from the food. He couldn't quite put his tongue on it but he knew it was bad.
Well he did subconsciously and without thinking he pushed Jeremy to the ground.
*Boom* *Clink*
"GET DOWN!" One Jack's men shouted before he tackled his boss out of harms way. Unfortunately he risked his life doing that. Fortunately it was Jack he saved.
"AAAGHHH!!" The other customers screamed as they heard the gunshot let off.
"Hey! Hey!" Jack said as he shook his colleague's body to check if he was alive. "Shit. You and your team good six?" Jack said as he reached into his pocket to pull out his mask. Which was made of cotton and completely white- covering his entire head like balaclava.
"Yeah we are. I thought this was neutral grounds, what happened?" Jeremy asked as he pulled a small and flat black object out of his pocket.
"It is." Jack said as he stood up and pulled a pistol out of his back pocket while looking around for the one who shot. "Who the fuck did that!" Jack shouted as there were a few customers who stood behind.
About two other tables who stayed behind despite hearing the gunshots, go off. They were waiting in silence for the restaurant to empty out. And once it was empty, the man with the gun was standing still, almost as if he was petrified.
"What the fuck is wrong with you." Jack said as saw him standing there staring at Kyle.
Kyle and his servants were just staring at him waiting for Jeremy's word. They weren't sure what they were supposed to do against that man since he didn't hit any of them. They could feel the immense amount of fear radiating from his body.
"He's fucking *inhale, exhale*…. Shoot that son of a bitch." Jack said as he calmed himself down.
The Royale men raised their guns to shoot him but none of the men that were sitting at the other tables, stood up for him.
"Fucking pussies." Jack said as he waved his hand- giving the signal to kill the man.
However just as they left off shots, Jeremy's earpiece began ringing. "Hello?" He said as he answered the call.
"Hurry up and get out. The CICA just arrived to investigate the gunshots." Sixth lieutenant said as he turned the car on.
"Where are they?" Jeremy asked as he walked towards the windows.
"In the front of the restaurant's entrance." Sixth lieutenant said as he pulled a M16 from the passenger seat. "I'm happy, I pulled it out just in time." He thought as he put on his lap.
"Shit." Jeremy said as he looked at Jack and Kyle.
"We gotta go." Kyle said to Melissa and Drey as they heard what the lieutenant said in his earpiece.
*Sniff* A faint smell slid past his nose. He couldn't put his tongue on it but it had a weird scent.
"Yeah, we'll meet up with you just go on ahead." Jeremy told them as he pointed at the window. "Jack, let's meet up later and finish this deal. We have a little problem right now." Jeremy said as Kyle and his servants ran towards the windows.
"You have my contact, just let me know when you're free." Jack said before he heard heavy footsteps rushing up the stairs.
Drey was the one to break the window as he jumped through it and just as he landed, Melissa did as well.
*Sniff* The weird smell appeared again but a bit more intense than before. It appeared once Kyle left the restaurant.
However this HPA squad wasn't exactly prepared for the Vampires to appear, but they weren't scared. They were prepared for the most unexpected moment while facing the vampires.
Coincidentally Drey landed directly in front of one of the HPA agents. They made eye contact for less than 5 seconds before the agent acknowledged who he was.
He quickly pulled his gun up and tried to shoot him. "I just made contact with the vampires, they are in front of "Lucky Weng's Garden" on Queens Blvd and 55th street."
"Oh crap." Kyle thought as he realized the HPA agent called for backup. He quickly tapped his earpiece twice so he could contact the ANM base.
"Jeremy already told us the situation on his end, where are you and the other two?" David answered.
"We ran into the CICA. One of the agents already called for backup." Kyle said as he saw Drey charging the agent.
"We talked about this already, they were prepared to get you, meaning that they most likely have something that can kill or at least restrain you so just run to the tunnels and hide there, we'll get you once you lose them." David said.
*Sniff* He could finally tell where that smell was coming from, it was more vibrant now. And as he acknowledged the smell was coming from the barrel of the gun and the CICA agent, a strange feeling appeared in his gut.
"DREY!" Kyle's voice echoed in his entire body and stopped Drey from charging him. "RU-" *BOOM!" The agent shot his gun and the silver shining bullet heavily wrapped in that weird smell spinner through the air faster than any typical bullet.
Drey was barely able to make sure the bullet didn't hit his heart and instead just above it. The bullet went deep and lodged itself into his chest, sending what felt like a pulse into his body before he suddenly fell.
The agent was surprised it worked; however, he suddenly saw Melissa's feet right in front of his chest. She caved his entire chest cavity with her kick as Kyle caught Drey before he fell to the ground .
"Drey!" Kyle said as he tried to hold him up straight.
"My lord, we have to go now." Melissa said as she took Drey from him and started carrying him over her shoulders.
"W- yeah let's go." He said in an almost defeated tone before jumping on top of a truck to get to a rooftop.
Confused and shocked, Kyle can tell that Drey is alive "But how long will that last for? What if Drey is poisoned? That bullet doesn't smell like any of the ones that I've. And it went through his skin, most bullets are only able to knock us back." he thought as he heard rotor noises.
"There's a helicopter approaching you, don't head into the tunnels in Sunnyside, use the transit tunnels and take them to one of our territories even if they're allied territories. This part is all you for right now, Jeremy and Al's cover hasn't been blown yet so they'll get out of the area and meet you once you lost them." David said into his earpiece as he saw over 3 groups of red dots closing on three blue dots.
