Lu Shi and Tian Mei's actions had stirred up a storm of displeasure among the audience, all unbeknownst to them. At this moment, Lu Shi was scheming on how to subtly reveal his affection for Xia Xin.
Xia Xin and Jing Mo, leading the way, could feel a cold, serpent-like gaze on their backs. She halted her steps and settled herself on the ground. "Big brother, I want to enjoy the scenery."
"Alright," Jing Mo settled next to her.
Seeing them pause, Lu Shi frowned, "Why are we stopping?"
"We're admiring the view," Xia Xin replied nonchalantly.
Lu Shi forced a smile, hoping to share in the appreciation of the beauty before them. "Indeed, it's quite lovely over there."
Lu Shi gestured to a spot in the distance but Xia Xin, utterly unconcerned, simply sipped her water without even a glance in his direction.
"Xia Xin!" Lu Shi called out, prompting her to finally look his way.
"Aren't you here to see the scenery?" Lu Shi asked.
