Sheng Shi watched Gu Lanshan intently for a while before nodding slightly. With closed lips, he uttered a soft "hmm," then slowly and elegantly took a sip of his coffee, looking as if he was in quite a good mood.
Gu Lanshan suddenly didn't know what else to say, so she sat there silently.
Sheng Shi didn't seem to want to speak either, so the two of them sat in silence.
Neither Gu Lanshan nor Sheng Shi were particularly talkative people. In the past, they often sat together quietly; he would be busy with his company, and she would be occupied with her work, occasionally looking up to ask him one or two questions if she couldn't figure something out.
He had a bad temper and didn't like being disturbed when he was busy. If someone did interrupt him, he would snap at them angrily.
However, he had never been annoyed by her interruptions. Instead, he explained patiently whatever she wanted to know.
