Sheng Shi nodded expressionlessly and glanced at Gu Lanshan. Recalling that she hadn't eaten anything at the Gu Family, he then spoke indifferently to the housekeeper, "Is dinner ready?"
The housekeeper glanced at Gu Lanshan and shook her head at Sheng Shi, "Lady Shan said she would dine at the Gu Family and told us not to prepare dinner."
"Mr. Sheng, if you need it, I can have someone prepare it right now."
Sheng Shi nodded, and the housekeeper immediately found someone to go to the kitchen.
The meal was prepared quickly.
Sheng Shi went upstairs and pushed open the door, instantly seeing Gu Lanshan. She was sitting on the sofa in the bedroom, her eyes fixated on an oil painting hanging on the wall, her face devoid of much expression; her skin was very pale, and the dim yellow light in the room seemed to cast a layer of water on her face.
Sheng Shi walked up to Gu Lanshan before she finally snapped back to reality.
