Chapter 33 - She's Your Child Bride, Right?

She only had two cups of coffee, but her stomach was full. Once these cakes and desserts entered her stomach, her stomach swelled up.

Han Xiaoye felt nauseous from the bloating sensation in her stomach, but she resisted the urge to vomit just to prove a point.

Just as she was about to reach for the mousse in the middle, her wrist was suddenly grabbed by someone.

"That's enough," He said.

Han Xiaoye raised her head, unafraid and provocative. "There are still a few left, you know? I'll finish them off right away. If Mr. Fu is in a hurry, you can leave. Don't worry, I won't back out. When I say I'll finish eating, I'll finish eating!"

"I said that's enough." Fu Zhiyan tightened his grip on her wrist.

Her wrist throbbed with pain, and she forcefully flung the mousse from her hand, defiantly asking, "Fu Zhiyan, what gives you the right to decide when I eat and when I stop?"

"Just because I'm your uncle."

Heh, uncle.

Han Xiaoye didn't know where her anger came from. She leaned forward and boldly bit his tender yet unfeeling lips.

The girl's lips still tasted of mousse, and from his perspective, he could see a blush on her flawless cheek.

Fu Zhiyan's Adam's apple bobbed.

Han Xiaoye quickly moved back, her wide eyes shining with astonishment. "So, are you still my uncle after that?"

"D*mn it, why am I excited? Stop being excited!" Hao Xiaoye thought to herself.

She struggled to restrain her racing heart and locked eyes with the man. She couldn't understand her own intentions in that momentary action.

Was it simply a clash with this man, or...?

She didn't dare to delve deeper.

A pair of clear, bright eyes stared unwaveringly at the person in front of her without even blinking.

In the end, Fu Zhiyan was the first to avert his gaze and looked away. "Alright, you've had enough fun. Let's go home."

What kind of answer was that?

"I'm not going home." Han Xiaoye's heart was filled with towering anger and inexplicable disappointment. She grabbed her bag from the chair and stood up, stubbornly declaring.

Fu Zhiyan's eyebrows furrowed as he tightened his grip on her hand. "Where do you want to go?"

"Shopping, watching a movie!"

"Nonsense!"

Han Xiaoye had endured for a long time, and being scolded for acting out finally triggered her. She forcefully pulled her hand free from Fu Zhiyan's grasp.

"I am being nonsense, so what? No matter what I do, you always think it's nonsense! If you can't stand it, just hit me! This is who I am, and I can't change."

Fu Zhiyan's eyebrows almost formed the shape of the Chinese character "川" (chuan) as he glared at Han Xiaoye. She slung her bag over her shoulder. "Hit me or not, if you don't, then I'm leaving."

After taking only a couple of steps, the furious young girl suddenly squatted down in pain, her face contorted.

"Miss, miss, what's wrong?" The waiter was frightened by her pale face.

"I'm fine."

Han Xiaoye held her belly and struggled to stand up. But her stomach churned violently, as if someone was tearing it apart from the inside.

D*mn it, why did her organs have to abandon her at such a crucial moment?

She had to fight back, even though she had no chips in her hands.

Han Xiaoye had lost all strength to speak. Cold sweat poured down, and her vision became blurry...

Suddenly, she felt a light touch on her body.

In an instant, she was already being held in someone's arms.

Through her blurred vision, she saw the usually cold and stern man's face change for the first time. "Han Xiaoye, speak up! What's wrong?"

"Miss, sir, we..."

The waiter's words were cut off.

"Get lost!"

Fu Zhiyan couldn't contain his anger!

The temperature in the entire coffee shop dropped to freezing point.

"Uh."

Han Xiaoye held her stomach, cold sweat pouring down. She had bitten her lower lip so hard that it turned white.

"Fu Zhiyan, I... I feel terrible."

"I'll take you to the hospital."

"Fu Zhiyan, is it possible for me to die because of this?" Han Xiaoye's pain had made her lose her senses. It was so unbearable, she had never experienced such pain before.

Suddenly, she felt a bit scared, and her subconscious grabbed onto the man's clothes.

"Not a chance." The cold and stern man exuded a strong aura of confidence. "As long as I'm here, nothing will happen to you."

She was Han Xiaoye... Han Xiaoye... the one he had searched for so long and finally found again. He would never allow anything to happen to her!

Fu Zhiyan held the girl tightly in his arms and quickly rushed out. The driver outside the door had been waiting, and he was so startled by seeing the usually composed CEO lose control that he forgot to open the car door.

Fu Zhiyan didn't care about him at all. He directly opened the passenger seat and carefully placed the girl inside. Then he went around to the driver's seat. "Move aside."

"Mr. Fu, what happened to the Miss?"

"Move aside!"

The driver, almost scared out of his wits, unbuckled his seatbelt and gave up his position.

Fu Zhiyan got into the car without even fastening his own seatbelt, stepped on the accelerator, and sped away!

...

Five minutes later, the Bentley screeched to a halt outside the hospital with a harsh sound.

Fu Zhiyan picked up the girl who was about to faint, his face cold, and rushed into the hospital.

"Doctor, get me the best doctor!"

"Mr. Fu?!" A sharp-eyed nurse recognized him and quickly called out, "Quick, quick, get the doctor, prepare a bed."

There was chaos everywhere, and Han Xiaoye was lying on a bed. The nurses started an intravenous drip for her and carried her into the emergency room.

When Qin Fang arrived after receiving the news, he saw his friend, who was usually as calm as Mount Tai, leaning against the wall outside the emergency room, with a cigarette between his fingertips, looking disheveled and melancholic.

Within a radius of three hundred meters around him, there wasn't a single person daring to approach.

Qin Fang paused his steps, clenched his fists, and slowly loosened them. He composed himself and walked over. "Zhiyan, it's been a while since I saw you smoking."

Fu Zhiyan flicked the Marlboros between his fingers in an elegant manner.

Qin Fang grabbed his shoulder and with a mischievous smile on his baby-faced, he approached him. "What's wrong? Worried about your niece? Relax, she should be fine. My father personally treated her, what are you afraid of?"

"You wouldn't understand." As long as she was still inside, he could never be at ease.

Fu Zhiyan moved his arm away, and his expression was heavy and desolate.

"How do you know I don't understand? We grew up together, there's nothing I don't know about you." Qin Fang rolled his eyes, grabbed his shoulder again, snatched the cigarette from his hand, and tossed it away. He raised an eyebrow slowly and said, "I know what your niece means to you."

"You don't know."

Fu Zhiyan took out another cigarette from his coat and lit it up. The white cigarette, like its extravagant name, emitted a swirling smoke that enveloped eyes. Weary, he closed his eyes and leaned against the wall. He repeated the same words for the second time.

"Qin Fang, you don't understand."

No one would understand. Han Xiaoye was more than just a niece to him. Even Han Xiaoye herself wouldn't understand.

Qin Fang flicked the cigarette butt to the ground, grinding it with disdain. "I've already said I know. Why don't you believe me? She's the child bride you used to mention, right?"
