Ryan straightened his shoulders and pushed up his glasses; a gesture that showed that he was in his work mode. He walked by them and briefed Jorge on what had been done following his directives. Jorge listened in one ear while he guided Mirabel into the conference room and pulled out a chair for her.
The surprising thing was that he had seated Mirabel in his chair at the head of the table, and instead of taking another seat, he stood behind her chair and leaned on it, his eyes resting on each and every one of the men in the room. Their hardened gazes appeared to be child's play to him.
Liam stayed back and out of the room as he usually did. Considering the circumstances, being seen in public that day was an exception because Liam was always out of everyone's sight, and only a handful of people closest to Jorge knew of him. Only Ryan, Sandy and Mauricio entered with the couple and took seats behind them as well.
