It was late evening that day when Charles dropped off Thalia. She had spent the whole of the afternoon at his place, but she was not about to make it known to the world that she had crossed the final bridge with him, so she had convinced Charles to send her back, to his dismay. Charles had complied, for he had bought himself a second chance ticket to have her in his life and was not about to mess that up! They spent a good five minutes in his car, just kissing before he reluctantly let her go.
She heaved a deep sigh of relief when she noticed that Flora was not in the room. Flora had the eye of a hawk and was inquisitive as hell and Thalia was not ready to face her yet. Thalia still felt giddy as she relived the good moments spent with Charles in her mind. She knew that she would never be able to hide her flushed face from Flora, and that was partly why she was glad that her good friend was in their room.
