I thought I could handle the endless crime, the corrupt as fck cops, the USELESS heroes, and the never-ending number of lunatics that no one does anything about, but I'm SO FAR PAST THE LINE THAT IT'D BE EASIER TO SEE IT FROM SPACE!
Me and my wife go out for some food, as you do getting home from work, only to come home and find the entire area looking like it'd been hit by a volcano! It's only when I check my phone (WHICH I TURN OFF ON DATES BECAUSE I'M A GOOD HUSBAND) that I find we've been hit by the latest fcking cape attack!
THAT GIANT SCALED CNT DESTROYED EVERYTHING! Now I could get past losing my stuff, even if my insurance doesn't cover EVERY MATERIAL THING I HAVE, but they destroyed all my photos, all my and my wife's things from our childhood, HE KILLED MY FUCKING DOG!
BILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF PROPERTY DAMAGE, ALL CAUSED BECAUSE THE FUCKING PRT COULDN'T SPARE TWO MINUTES TO SEND MR GOD-HERO TO KILL THIS GUY!?
I WANT REPERATIONS! WE'RE HOMELESS AND I HAVEN'T HEARD A PEEP ABOUT HELPING THOSE AFFECTED BY THIS SELF-MADE DISASTER!

Yeah, you me and the thousand other threads on this same topic. Go shoot a message to an official PRT account and they might do something, it's not like this can sweep this one under the rug.

News is they got other state capes coming in to help with repairs. At the very least it'll stop the nazis from going too crazy with the extra capes on hand.

What I wanna know is how this happened in the first place? First is more gunshots than usual in the neighborhood, then ABB trucks speeding through the streets somewhere, and now half the city's on fire... Like, HOW!?

@UlsticePeriodic were you living under a rock, most of it was broadcast live. Judging by the fact the first feed on it was the ABB cat fighting the ABB dragon, it's pretty obvious the former's collar was getting too tight...
One of my buddies heard that Kaibyo massacred an entire noodle shop, forcing the big guy to put him down. You guys saw how that went... Never thought I'd see Glory Girl and Armsmaster team up with a murderous lunatic, but I guess the world is crazier than I thought.

@FoxieTrot2 piss off ABB simp, everyone knew that noodle place was a chink front. Bet they served up gutter oil and fried rats to keep the atmosphere.

Ignoring the @Kellog racist, just looked at the recordings... Why is no one talking about Circus trying to whack Kaibyo? Some almost comic-relief thief suddenly tries to assassinate a cape in the process of stopping Endbringer-lite?
Where's the coverage!?

@UlsticePeriodic it's buried under news of Lung's capture, Armsmaster's recent interview, and New Wave's advertising push... Idk why they think producing new dolls of Glory Girl with a half-burnt costume is appropriate but that's super creepy.
Also, the attempts to vilify Glory Girl for not immediately going after the half-dead Kaibyo who'd been whisked away in some Tinker Tech-mobile are mongoloids. Not only did the CHILD almost die fighting for what to me sounds like his freedom, but neither of the heroes were ready to tank on some new Tinker with an unknown specialty.

Thread Locked. I hate to prune this but there are literally two hundred other threads on this same topic. Go forth and spam, ducklings!
"Panacea, there's two more people with severe third-degree burns!"
Amy looks up from her phone and slowly gets out of her seat, costume sticking to her back with how sweaty is was... Who knew when she'd be allowed to go home, or when injured would stop arriving...
--------------------------------
The stars flickered playfully above me, making me feel as if I were staring at the vast night sky... Only to soon come to my senses in realization that I was back, back to the strange hub that greeted me every night.
I must've fallen asleep in Sherrel's stolen car because I don't remember much after being saved... Hopefully she managed to escape somewhere relatively safe... Damn... Lung was definitely in PRT custody, but all my shit was in the Penthouse apartment, the odds of some ABB schmuck taking whatever's not nailed down while the gang collapsed was too high to ignore.
...
Were I not a formless mass in this neverending night sky, I'd be simultaneously face-palming, crying, shouting, and scratching my eyes out.
Just recalling the agony of getting burned alive MULTIPLE TIMES almost forced me into a panic attack. Without the shit-load of adrenaline running through me, I could truly look back and observe how close to dying I'd actually come. Forget getting assassinated by some Coil goon, the Dragon was the real threat!
Seriously, if Glory Girl hadn't arrived Lung would've stomped my ass like a fucking goomba, and unlike the games, that crap wouldn't be anywhere near PG.
The flickering stars draw my attention once more, and finally I'm able to sense the well of power that represented my stored BP. Needless to say, the bloody jaunt I went on while massacring the ABB had netted me more BP than the totality of what I'd gathered before.
I was almost giddy as I saw my options, though, that excitement turned to stress when I realized I had to choose what I wanted.
I'd had a light outline of what I'd wanted before, but that was if my BP gains kept at the same crawl... Fortunately, it could be adapted to the sudden influx and new options.
First, I picked from the Sword or 'Emiya' tree, taking [Reinforcement], [Structural Grasp], and [Projection]. This would finally give me the means to use magic, or Magecraft as the locals of that world would call it.
[Reinforcement] was necessary if I wanted to keep up, and would be far more effective than how Shirou Emiya had used it. The most obvious difference was our bodies, he as a regular human was nowhere near my Demon/Nekomata crossbreed situation, and while he did have Avalon healing him if he ever overdid it, his healing was nowhere near mine. I could shatter my legs with an overcharged reinforcement kick and still be ready to fight, for example.
From there I was pretty sure I could morph it into some bastardized version of Artoria's Mana Burst. Without the problems Shirou had with his dogshit mana capacity, I was sure I could get it down. It made Artoria, someone who's relatively weak compared to most high-level melee servants able to go face-to-face with a madness-enhanced Heracles.
Just what could I achieve if I used it with the strength of Dante or Vergil? Even the Endbringers would run if I ever reached that level.
That wasn't the end of reinforcement's usefulness however, it could also be used to enhance things outside of my body. For example, I could enhance a pipe to become almost unbreakable... Or a gun... Or, if what I was hoping for worked, enhance Tinkertech.
[Structural Grasp] was essentially the base of everything Emiya was known for. To analyze and understand an object as if he were reading from a comprehensive blueprint. Due to his weirdness, he took it even further, able to take conceptual things like the experience from past wielders too, though he could only do this for blades due to his specialized Element and Origin. For me who had that plus whatever my original ones were, I could do the same... Even if it would take some practice.
Finally was [Projection] which was essentially just transfiguration from Harry Potter. To change magical energy to a physical structure. It's the base/crappy version of his Tracing magic, but it was useful enough right now.
I'd be able to create knives, swords, and even guns, though it'd be harder to do the latter due to previously acknowledged specializations. I could even reinforce the Projected objects, making it so I was never left weaponless.
These three spells would massively boost my combat capabilities, but more than that, I was hoping it'd help me expand my magical repertoire. I wasn't naive enough to think it'd be easy, but now I knew what to expect.
Next on my list of purchases was [Demonic Attunement] from the main Class tree, from which I immediately select the 'Element' I'm attuned to as [Time]. I was actually surprised it allowed me to pick that, but it made sense given the wide variety of demons in the Devil May Cry universe.
Why did I pick time you may ask? Well, ignoring how powerful it already is, I was hoping to try and replicate the Magecraft of Shirou Emiya's father, Kiritsugu Emiya. His spell essentially allowed him to manipulate his flow of time, speeding himself by two or even three times. It was powerful, and in my hands, it'd be even more so.
Lastly and with the little BP that remained, I take [Rule of Cool], as staple in Devil May Cry while also pretty fucking broken in reality. Basically, it's low-level reality manipulation that makes 'cool' actions more effective and actually viable. Things like throwing knives behind myself at a random grunt would almost always hit if it was something I could have done facing them.
Performing ridiculous acrobatic maneuvers or hilariously impractical martial moves that you'd usually see in Kung Fu movies would now work. Now, I didn't purchase this for my own vanity or something, nor to go further up the Class Tree(which was necessary to get to the higher-level abilities). No... To me, this was essentially a buff to every movement, action, and skill I use in combat.
My running, jumping, punching, everything would be smoother to conform to what's 'cool', and while it's technically only a slight buff, combined with Time Manipulation, Reinforcement, Mana Burst, Touki, Senjustsu, and Vergil's Dark Slayer techniques, the only person who'd be faster than me is the Flash... And even then, maybe not.
It was like I was busting out Kaio-ken on top of the two million Super Saiyan transformations in Dragonball. I was hoping they'd stack multiplicatively, but I'd not be upset if it was only Additively. The bonuses would be enough on top of the strength I'd gain from simply being a Son of Sparda.
Not to mention, what I was really looking forward to was seeing how Tracing Magecraft interacted with Vergil's Mirage Blades... Since both were to my knowledge created by the soul I was sure it'd be possible to machine gun fire Noble Phantasms. Hell, if it worked I'd make Gilgamesh's Gate of Babylon at max speed look slow!
With all that done I look upon the stars and close my eyes, satisfied with my choices...
