After thinking for a while, Dr Sullivan said, "I think he can handle it, but we have to let him in on it gradually."
"Are you sure about that?" Lauren asked and regretted it as soon as the words came out.
"Mm-hmm," Dr Sullivan nodded, clearly not offended by Lauren's question. "But it appears you are not happy hearing that," Dr Sullivan observed.
"I'm happy to hear that, but the thing is that…" Lauren paused but continued after Dr Sullivan urged her on.
"I wanted to see if he can fall in love with me all over again even without me reminding him of our past together," Lauren confessed.
After a brief silence, Dr Sullivan took his time before asking, "Are you feeling insecure? That he might not love you the way he used to without those memories?"
