Ivan was about going with him when his assistant beside him suddenly said,
"You need to see this, Sir," and handed over his phone to Ivan.
"What?!" Ivan's eyes widened in disbelief and he dashed past the commissioner in a flash.
In less than a minute, he was already seated in his car. "Drive!"
As the driver approached the gates of the police station, Ivan added. "Central District Police Station."
Sensing the urgency in his boss's voice, the driver sped off in the direction of Central District Police station.
When they arrived at the police station, Ivan could barely wait for the car to skid to a stop before unbuckling his seat belt and in seconds, he was already entering into the office of the district commissioner.
He completely turned a deaf ear to the police officer who was in hot pursuit while yelling, "You can't go in, Sir. The commissioner is busy and can't see you at the moment."
