After some time, his gaze rested on Lauren's chestnut-colored hair falling in soft waves around her shoulders, framing her lovely warm amber eyes that were now filled with concern.
"Are you a part of my lost memory?" he suddenly asked, his voice filled with uncertainty.
"I'll leave that for you to figure out. Whatever I tell you now, will not be what you want to hear, so it's best we wait until you are fully recovered."
Steffan's face darkened and just as he was about to give a retort, Lauren's phone rang.
"Hello, Mom," Lauren said into the phone.
"Yes, I'm with him now. Ok," Lauren said and handed the phone to Steffan who raised his brow.
"Please take it, it's for you," she Said.
He threw her a suspiciousLook. "Who is on the line?"
"You'll find out as soon as you answer the call," Lauren said, her tone equally challenging.
"Hello," Steffan mumbled hesitantly into the phone after collecting it from Lauren.
