It was late in the night before Shawn could pull himself together.
He dragged his soulless body up, grabbed a few of his stuff and practically stumbled out of the office where he saw an equally fagged out Johnson standing weakly by the door.
"Boss," he stood straight as soon as he saw Shawn emerge from the office.
As his boss was holed up in his office, it wasn't easy for Johnson either. He had been keeping watch outside the office door the entire day. He dared not go for lunch for fear that his boss might look for him and not find him, so he had to endure until now.
"Why are you still here?" Shawn asked, his voice lacking its usual momentum.
"I couldn't leave without final instructions from you, boss," he replied obediently.
"You can go back now," Shawn ordered and stepped into his exclusive elevator.
"I will send you home first, boss then I will leave from there," Johnson said as he joined him in the elevator.
