Kathleen stood up and walked towards the door to welcome them but Eleanor's eyes suddenly took in the two other people in the room and ran past her mother who was approaching her with a smile.
"Grandma? Is that really you?" Eleanor's eyes shone in utter disbelief.
"Of course it's me, my princess." Stacy turned in her seat and opened her arms wide. An affectionate smile spread on her face as she caught the soft bundle of flesh that launched into her waiting arms in a warm embrace.
Elvis was a little considerate as he managed to acknowledge Kathleen's presence with a curt "Mom" before he dashed past her like his sister and went to give his grandfather a hug since Eleanor was already all over their grandmother.
Kathleen looked on in disbelief. She couldn't believe these children just abandoned her because they saw their grandparents.
"Grandma, Grandpa. When did you arrive?" He asked breathlessly.
