Cheryl looked away from the pathetic family. They didn't deserve her pity, so there was no need wasting it on them.
If only people will learn that it doesn't pay to plot against another and strive to live in peace, what a better place the world would be.
But thank goodness she has found a better alternative to the unknown wickedness in the human heart with the Wyatt's family where she could actually relax her guard and be who she truly was.
A cunning smile formed at the corners of her lips as she approached Kathleen.
"Can we go now?" she asked with something Kathleen recognized as a mischievous smile.
She threw her a warning glare to which Cheryl raised her hands in mock surrender but didn't fail to add, "I'm innocent of all the charges you want to level against me."
She took a deep breath and exhaled. 'Could my life be any less dramatic with all these kinds of people around me?'
