"Over a year," Nicky said. "I went from Europe to Los Angeles, wanting to be a star, only to find that it was easy to enter the industry but hard to become famous. The income from being an extra wasn't even enough for food. Later, through the introduction of some fellow countrymen, I first took photographs for the attic studio, then I joined Michel's crew."
She even seemed nostalgic. "Working under her, the income was quite good. I could make a five-figure sum each month, but some clients had such peculiar tastes that it was unbearable. Moreover, Michel was particularly controlling and in order to attract wealthy, high-profile clients, she often used some rather disgraceful methods."
Martin nodded slightly. "Like with a client such as myself?"
Nicky cautiously said, "Yes, before going to Morgan Freeman's farm, Michel specifically called for me, Mia and Marlena. Perhaps because we three were quite pretty and our styles were different, one of us was bound to suit your taste."
