The slap was so loud that, the people who were still walking around the premises of the court had to stop to know what was happening, but seeing a man at the door with his hand on his left cheek and an angry lady standing in front of him, they didn't need anyone to tell them what happened.
Even after receiving a slap, he looked so handsome that some of the on lookers wondered if he felt it at all. He looked as if he had anticipated the slap but still needed to receive it.
Without a word, Abigail turned to leave but the man was fast to hold her back by the hand. Not wanting to receive another slap, he let go of her hand as if he was electricated, and with an uplifted hand, he forcefully stepped in front of her to block her way.
"Get the hell out of my way." Abigail shouted angrily upon seeing the face of the man.
"Please calm down. I already said am sorry." He said calmly.
"Sorry? And you think that would solve all the problems you brought into my life? You think sorry can turn back the hands of time? Don't make me laugh Mr Lunq." Abigail said sarcastically.
"Mr Lunq? Really? What happened to Edward, Eddy as you call me?" The man asked.
"He died. He died the very day he left with the one I called best friend." Abigail said and begin to walk away.
Edward was at a lost on what was happening, he knew Abigail loved him so much, but he couldn't tell why she was making it had for him. He had planned very well before coming back to the city, but from how things were going, he knew he had to change his plan.
He run after Abigail to stop her from leaving. He can't let her go now that Amanda was out of the way, if not, the rich man he had been hearing of wouldn't think twice to take Abigail away from him.

Meanwhile, in a car not far from the court, a laptop was showing a footage of the entire courtroom and it surrounding. And from time to time, a hand would type on the keyboard to expand a specific footage.
As soon as Abigail's image disappeared from the footage on the screen, the hand type on the keyboard again and another footage was displayed on the laptop, showing Abigail who's way was blocked by Edward.
"Get her out of there." A voice said and undoubtedly it was a man. He sounded so angry and one could tell he has been in the car for a while, watching everything that was going on inside and outside the courtroom.
A man got out of the car and walked to the corridor of the court to do as instructed, and upon getting to where Abigail was, Edward was still adamant on talking to her.
"Excuse me. My boss is in a hurry and want to leave." The man said to Edward as he placed himself between Abigail and Edward.
"And why should I care about that? He can go to hell for all I care." Edward said angrily, not knowing who the man in front of him was, nor the boss he was talking about.
Silently, the man turned to Abigail and walked her away from the court premises, which of course upset Edward, making him go after them to get explanation.
"Hay! You. Wait there. Who do you think you are?" Edward said as he saw the man helping Abigail to enter a car, but he was ignored and before he could get closer, he drove off leaving him to stare at the car in a anger
" I wonder who that guy is, but whoever he is, he and his boss will hear from me when I see him again. For now, I need to see that rich boy who wants to be my rival." Edward said to himself and walked to a black spot car which was parked few meters away from the court. He turned to look at the disappearing car before sitting in his and drove off.

Enoch off the laptop, a while after Gideon drove off, thinking Abigail might want to say something to him. But on the contrary, Abigail was so angry that caging her anger was becoming a problem for her.
She had noticed the footage on the screen of the laptop and without being told, she knew Enoch had been in his car through out the court section. She felt like yelling her anger out, but instead, she decided to be silent.
Enoch knew he had lots of explanation to do, but since he didn't know how to go about it, he stayed silent as well, stealing glances at Abigail from time to time, which was unbearable for both of them.
Thanks to Gideon's fast and experienced driving, the drive home was shot even though it was a silent one. "Would you talk or you want me to force it out of you?" Enoch asked immediately they both got out of the car and he saw Abigail walking to the living room.
"And what exactly do you want to know? Am sure you are well updated on everything that I can tell you." Abigail answered without looking back but kept her pace as she entered the living room.
"Who was he?" Enoch asked politely.
"I guess I don't have to tell you. Am sure you know." Abigail answered.
"Why was he blocking your path? What did he want?" Enoch asked, trying all he could to control his rising anger.
"To talk to me what else? He wanted what every man wants." Abigail said sarcastically, and this time, she turned to look at Enoch with a smile, before making herself comfortable in the sofa.
"What do you plan to do?" Enoch asked, and Abigail could feel insecurity in his voice.
"You tell me what to do. You've been planning my life for months now." Abigail was not in the mood to have a proper conversation with Enoch, if he wasn't going to tell her why he left the courtroom.
Not able to control his anger anymore, and knowing there was no point talking to Abigail, Enoch went upstairs to his room to stop himself from doing what he doesn't want to. He was sure Abigail was intentionally trying to pisse him off because she was mad at him.
The rest of the day was slow and uncomfortable for both Enoch and Abigail, with Enoch making himself busy in his study while Abigail pretend to be sleeping in Enoch's bedroom. Even their afternoon and evening meal was served to them separately.
Enoch was really busy, thinking of how to talk to Abigail about the numerous things going on in his head, but Abigail was avoiding any conversation with him, keeping her anger mood up her mind, making it difficult for Enoch to talk to her.
Morning came and both of them had not step out nor talk to the other, with Enoch spending the night in his sturdy. He came to his room to take his bath secretly but unfortunately, Abigail was already in the bathroom taking her bath.
"Don't worry, am not here to do anything to you, and you don't need to cover yourself, am naked too, there's nothing to hide if I want to see." Enoch said as he saw Abigail trying all she could to cover herself with her hands.
At his wards, Abigail's hand dropped to her side and she began to rob her body seductively with her fingers. Slowly, she sat in the bathtub and continue with her bath but no matter what she did, Enoch didn't mind her. It was a if she was alone in the bathroom.
Enoch decided on standing under the shower to take a quick bath so he can leave before he gets tempted by Abigail, and even though he could hear her make sounds as if she was hurt, which sounded like moans to his ears, he still remain adamant.
Few minutes and he was done and out of the bathroom, leaving Abigail behind. Like a status, Abigail gaze at him till he was out of the room, wondering what she did to offend him. He has been avoiding any intimacy with her since he returned from his week long trip, and having a good conversation with him was even out of the question.
Breakfast was served in the dining room and as usual, the house help went to invite both of them to the table. Abigail was done taking her bath and was prepared to go downstairs when the helper came to call her. She was more determine to make Enoch notice her and also to get some explanations from him.
If only she knows how to make him talk, he wouldn't even look at her. She walked to the door and when she was almost out, she stopped and peeped through the living room to see if Enoch was there, and surly he was seated behind the table in a white shirt and black pant, with only his back visible to her.
She redraw and made an attempt to go downstairs, but then on a second thought, she stopped and went back to the room. She looked at herself in the mirror and gave herself a smile upon seeing how beautiful she was looking. Turning away from the mirror, she begin to remove the expensive purple knee-length loose dress she was wearing.
She wear a red silk night dress Enoch had given to her as a gift on his return, which showed her curves and half of her thigh. Letting her hair down, she walked out of the room and down the stairs. Just when her feet touch the floor of the living room lighting strike and tender followed, coursing her to lose her balance and almost fall.
Thankfully, a strong arm held her by the waist on time, saving her from falling to her face. Even though she didn't plan it, she wished Enoch had been the one to save her, but instead it was Gideon. They turn to look at Enoch and he was still expressionless.
Gideon came to see Enoch when Abigail went back to change, and was leaving when he saw Abigail falling. He rushed to the car and drove off as if someone was after him, with Abigail gazing at him.
Even though she felt ashamed for letting Gideon see her in that state, she gave Enoch a broad smile and walked to the dinning table. Instead of setting on the chair, she pushed the plates on the table back and sat on it in front of Enoch.
