Screams, shouting, moans of pain, cries of agony and paints of a woman, filled the hospital. Many who heard the cry, thought the lady was giving birth, and it'll be over soon. But there was a man who couldn't stand the cries of the lady.
Enoch kept pacing here and there, hoping the cry will stop soon. He didn't have the heart to keep listening. He was losing a part of him, and he knew if care is not taken, he can lose someone special as well.
He'll look at his wrist watch from time to time, but it looked like time was not moving. He was in a hurry to know what happened in there, and if she was alright.
After waiting for almost an hour, the crying stopped, and he knew it was over, but how was she doing? He couldn't wait anymore. He rushed to the doctor immediately he saw him coming out.
"Doc, how is she, is she okay, can I see her?" Enoch asked in a hurry, with worry written on his face.
" Calm down Mr Damtis, she's okay. She'll be sent to the private ward as you requested soon, and you can see her there." The doctor said, patting Enoch on the shoulder.
Enoch watched the doctor's retreating figure untill he vanished into his office. He didn't know what to do, how was he going to face her, when he didn't stop her from doing what he knew she didn't want.
But it was done now and he needed to be strong for both of them. He rushed to his car and drove off in full speed. There was nothing for him to wait for.

Abigail was brought to the private room in the hospital, requested by Enoch. She looked around to see if Enoch was there, but she didn't find him anywhere. Maybe he was going to get something for her. She convinced herself and slept.
She waked up the next day and found out she was still the only one in the room. She pressed the alarm button and in no time, the doctor was in the room.
"Hi good afternoon, how are you doing, hope you slept well?" The doctor asked
" Am okay but where is my.... I mean Mr Damtis?" Abigail asked, almost calling Enoch her boyfriend.
"He's not here, but he sent someone, I'll call him in if you want." The doctor said and Abigail could guess who Enoch sent.
" When will I be discharged? I need to go to work in the evening." Abigail asked.
" You can go soon if you are strong in the next few hours but you can't just go to work like this." The doctor answered while checking up on her.
"I'll take my leave now." The doctor said and made to leave.
"Call him in." Abigail said and the doctor just nod his head, knowing who she was talking about.
"Good afternoon ma'am, Mr Damtis won't be here, so I'll be the one to take you wherever you want to go." Gideon said immediately he entered the ward.
" Please Gideon, tell me why Enoch is behaving this way, why did he leave without saying anything, and he's not coming back." Abigail asked, going straight to the point.
"Don't worry, there was an emergency at work last night, so he had to leave, and he'll be with his family the whole day today, so he can't come, but am sure he'll come later. " Gideon lied for Enoch.
" You think I don't know you are just defending him, tell the doctor I want to go home now, and you don't need to take me anywhere, I'll go home myself." Abigail said and Gideon left without saying anything.
Gideon insisted on taking Abigail to the bus stop at least, and because she didn't know the area that much, she had no choice but to give up rejecting his offer. He got a cab for her and paid the driver, just like Enoch would do, before leaving after her car left.

Abigail placed a call to her mum, asking for her little sister to come over, and by evening her sister was at her apartment.
She didn't want to lock herself up again so she called for her sisters help. She reported sick at wake and she was giving some days off.
In a week time, Abigail was back to her normal self, she could even go to work, but she still felt the pain she knew will never go away. Yet Enoch never came to see her, and she also decided not to call nor text him.

With fear of seeing her accusing face, I left the hospital, I drove as fast as I could, not caring if I die. Infact, I was half dead , and I was the one to be blamed for that.
I want straight to my office, and stay till the next morning, even though I had no work there. How can I sleep peacefully on my bed when she's on the hospital bed where I put her myself?
Now that she's doing well, I also have something to do for both of us, I have to find those two witches and put an end to their schemes, else I'll be a murderer.
But before that I need to see my mum, I need to get her on my side, so I can be with who I want. That way, it'll be easy to convince my father.

"Mum, is not what you think okay, is not like am leaving her for someone as she made you believe, she's the cause of everything, and you know I don't like her." Enoch tried to convince his mother.
" Okay then, give me one good reason you don't want to marry Efua. Don't tell me you don't love her, I know that already. " Georgina, Enoch's mother said.
" Mum,, she's planning on killing someone, just so she can have me, and I don't want to be with someone like her, she's just a gold digger." Enoch said, almost shouting.
" So is true, there's another person and you don't want me to know, how will I know if she is good, and support you as you want." Georgina said.
" I'll let you know when am with someone else, but for now I just need you to talk to your husband, so he can understand that I can't marry a witch." Enoch said, pretending to be sad.
" The new girl, tell me, do you love her? " Georgina asked.
" I don't think so, even I don't know what I feel for her, but I can assure you mum, she's not like Efua at all. Even though they have the same name." He said his last sentence to himself, and later continue talking when he noticed his mother was waiting to here more.
" I feel okay when am with her, and it as if we've known each other for life, I just want to be close to her all the time, but I can't because of those witches." Enoch said, not knowing what he was even saying or feeling.
" My son, your mind is a mess now, and your heart is not helping. Just give it a thought, maybe you'll understand your father." Georgina said, trying to stop Enoch from his decision.
" Mum, Efua is not the kind of girl I want, I see her as a friend and nothing more. I'll never be happy if you force me to marry Efua, and she won't either, and I can say I'll definitely cheat on her. " Enoch said with a serious face.
This time Georgina understood her son, she knew no woman will like it if her husband cheat on her, and a man who is not happy in his marriage might want to cheat. She wouldn't want that for her son and inlaw.
" Okay I get it son, I'll talk to your father and Efua's parents, maybe we can stop this wedding from happening. But I want to see that girl soon. " Georgina said.
" Okay mum, but first do what you just said, and I promise I'll bring her here to meet you and Dad." Enoch said happily.
He went out of the house in a hurry smiling like a child who's been given candies. He had to see her soon, He's been staying away from her but not anymore, because now his mother is on his side. He drove his car as fast as he could playing music and singing along.
Just as he was about to reach his office where he'll pick his driver Gideon up, his phone started ringing. His face expression changed immediately he saw the caller ID, but he had no choice but to answer the phone call.
" Yes! what is it, did you find out where they are? " He asked the caller.
" Sir, we found only miss Efua, and she wants to talk to you too, she said she'll be out of town tomorrow, so you have to meet her today." The caller said.
" Send me the address, and tell her am on my way, I'll be there soon." Enoch said as he reached his office.
He picked some files and an envelope full of money. He called Gideon and gave him instructions and just then his phone rang. He read the massage and his face became colder than ever.
**Sir, we are at her grandparents house, in a village close to Abakrampa, (ABK) called Nyamedom. It's two and a half hours drive from your office.**
He smashed his phone against the wall after reading the massage, and it scattered into pieces. "She thinks she's smart, hah! I know what to do." He said before going out of his office.
