... First time seeing him...
It was four in the morning, and in a small town located in the central region of Ghana, a young lady in her early twenties, was still sleeping in her rented self-contained appartment. The room wasn't decorated with expensive things but she loved it as it was.
It was a one room with kitchen, washroom and a small living room. The sofas in the living room was arranged to face the television at the left side of the room, where the door to the bedroom was located.
The kitchen and dining place was at the right side of the living room with the bathroom being close to the bedroom at it left. With a small corridor at the entrance to the living room.
In the bedroom, she was laying on the bed behind the door and she seems to be dreaming about someone or something she didn't like, making her turn and squeeze the bed spread to her chest.
She kept turning her head from side to side for a while, but Fortunate or unfortunately, the alarm clock on the table beside her bed started ringging, forcing her to wake from the dream and her sleep in a hast.
She got up from the bed and started pacing left and right in the room, thinking deep about something. She took the clock and check the time but then she noticed she was getting late.
She rushed to the bathroom to prepare for work as fast as possible, making some items on the dresser drop from the table.
She quickly open the shower and place herself under the running water. she took a quick bath and turn the shower off to dry herself with a towel, but she stopped midway and started talking to herself.
"Who is he, and why was he trying to...., why was I even kissing him back as he kissed me? I kanna like it doe, forget it, it was just a dream, but was he really going to make love to me? Hah, thank God I waked up on time."
She went out of the bathroom to the bedroom to dress up. As usual, she put on her all black uniform, which was the same uniform worn by all police officers in the country.
Yes, she was a police officer, who had passed out from training, and is now serving her country, Mother Ghana. She picked her keys from the table and look at her self in the mirror and smile.
"Even without makeup and accessories, I still look beautiful, more than many of my colleagues, so I don't care what they say about me, I just hope I have a good day." She said, out of habit and as an encouragement.
"A police officer who can't stop a single man from coming into her dreams to molest her." A voice said to her in her head.
"How can I stop him when he's so dangerous and strong? He doesn't even let me see his face. I don't know why but am beginning to like him more. Forgot it, he's just in my dreams and not reall." She said to herself and smile.
She switched off all the electrical appliances in the room and locked the doors before step out to get a cab for work. But today, she was not going to the normal office duties or to the check point.
She was selected to represent her colleagues at a national sensitization program, since she was the best in drills among her batch, and also came first in her region.
"To the palace, please harry am late already." She instructed the cab driver immediately she entered. it was not that she was late, but because she didn't want to be late.
The representatives of all the security personnels in the region like, the police service, prison service, fire service, ambulance service, etc, was to be present at the palace of the capital by 8:00am and she can't afford to be late.
She got out of the cab and paid off the driver. She looked around and then to her wrist watch, "looks like I was too early, it's an hour before time, what do I do?" She said as she was entering the palace.
Immediately she entered, her eyes rested on two young men who might be the same age as she is or a year or two older than her chatting in the gathering room. For some reason she could not take her eyes off them, no! She could not take her eyes off him.
One of the men catch her attention, his body looks more like the man in her dream this morning, but his face she can't tell, since she couldn't see the face of the man in her dream nor the one in front of her.
"I thought I was the first person here, how do I stay in a room with two guys all alone." She said and force her eyes off them and her legs to leave.
Just as she reached the entrance, she meet her colleague, the guy she was representing the police service with. Gasper's face looked more present as always, which made her smile.
"Why are you out here, are you going somewhere?" Gasper asked as soon as he saw her coming out.
" Nope, I have nowhere to be but here, just came out to wait for you, since I don't know anyone here but you." She lied with a smiling face.
What she said wasn't all lies, it was half truth. Infact she didn't even know Gaspar that well, she just knew him as a co-worker, nothing more. This was because she was not the type that like to socialize with people, even the ones she called friends were either her co-workers, school mates or family members who were a bit close to her.
He smirk upon hearing her wards, hoping they can at least be friends before the three days program ends. This was part of the reasons he was happy when he was informed that, he'll be joining her to represent the region's police officers for the program.
"Well, am here now, sorry am late, let go in and sit for a while so we can stand when the program start." He said still smiling from ear to ear, before leading the way back into the gathering room.
