Realizing that her safety was compromised, Sheng Ruxi made a quick decision. She knew she could no longer stay in the apartment she had recently rented. It was no longer a safe haven for her. Gathering her belongings, she swiftly packed her clothes, laptop, and other necessities into a bag. With a determined expression on her face, she left the apartment, locking the door behind her.
As she stepped out of the apartment, the rain began to pour, soaking her within moments. She hurriedly raced into her car. The car pulled away from the vicinity, navigating through the rain-soaked city streets.
Arriving at a hotel, Sheng Ruxi checked in and quickly made her way to the room. As she stepped inside, a sense of relief washed over her. She had found a temporary sanctuary, at least for the time being. She made a call to the hotel staff, ordering a meal. It's been hours since she ate anything.
In less than 30 minutes, her food arrived. She sat down on the chair, consuming food until her heart was satisfied. After eating she went to the bathroom to take a shower.
After taking a refreshing shower to wash away the stress of the past events, Sheng Ruxi settled down in front of her laptop. The glow of the screen illuminated her face as she delved into her research. She needed to gather more information, connect the dots, and understand the dangerous web she had unknowingly become entangled in.
While she worked, the television in the room played softly in the background. The news caught her attention as the reporter announced the discovery of a dead body at the port. It sent a chill down her spine, and she leaned closer to listen intently.
According to the reporter, the deceased individual was identified as a member of the notorious Death Star gang. The police were investigating the circumstances surrounding the death, and Sheng Ruxi's mind raced with thoughts. Was there a link between the man who had attacked her and the criminal underworld?. What kind of person was she before she lost her memories
She paused her work, her eyes fixed on the television screen. The realization that she was caught in a dangerous game intensified. Sheng Ruxi knew she had to be cautious and vigilant. It was clear that her actions had stirred a hornet's nest.
Back at the Yue mansion, Qin Meixi and Qin Tiansheng approached the entrance of the Yue mansion, they could sense a tense atmosphere. Butler Su's voice carried through the rain as he scolded Qin Xixi's nanny and the bodyguards. The maids and other staff members stood in hushed silence, their faces etched with worry and unease.
Curiosity and concern fueled Qin Meixi's steps as she hurriedly made her way toward the commotion, her older brother following closely behind. Nanny Zhou, the head nanny in the Yue mansion was pacing to and fro ,her eyes filled with tears. She noticed Qin Tiansheng and Qin Meixi's arrival and quickly approached them.
"Miss Meixi, Master Tiansheng, it's terrible," the nanny exclaimed, her voice trembling. "Xixi ran away. They were on our way back from school, and she suddenly dashed off."
Qin Meixi's heart skipped a beat, and a surge of anxiety washed over her. "What? How did she manage to escape?"
Qin Xixi's nanny lowered her head, her voice filled with guilt. "I'm sorry, Miss Meixi. She was quick, and before we knew it, she was gone. We searched for her, but she disappeared in the blink of an eye."
Qin Tiansheng's brows furrowed deeply, his concern mirroring his sister's. "We must find her immediately. She's just a six year old child. Who knows what dangers she may encounter on her own?"
"Did you try calling her?" Qin Tiansheng asked.
"She left her phone in her school bag" Qin Xixi's nanny replied.
Qin Meixi's voice trembled slightly as she spoke, her worry evident. "Butler Su, please, do everything you can to find her."
Butler Su nodded solemnly, his determination shining through. "I understand. We will spare no effort in bringing Miss Qin Xixi back home safely."
Apologies for the confusion. Let's revise the dialogue accordingly:
Qin Meixi quickly took out her phone and dialed her grandparents' number. After a few rings, Old Master Qin answered the call.
"Grandpa, it's Meixi." Qin Meixi said, her voice filled with worry.
Old Master Qin sensed the urgency in her voice and replied, "What is it, Meixi? Is something wrong?"
Qin Meixi took a deep breath before explaining, "Grandpa, Xixi, she's missing. She ran away."
There was a brief silence on the other end of the line before Old Master Qin spoke again, his voice filled with concern, "Missing? How did this happen? Have you informed the authorities?"
Qin Meixi quickly replied, "Yes, Grandpa. We've informed the authorities, and they're conducting a search. But I thought you and Grandma should know immediately."
Old Madam Qin, who was nearby, overheard the conversation and rushed to join the call. Her voice trembled as she spoke, "Meixi, how could this happen? Is she safe? Have you found any clues?"
Qin Meixi tried to calm her grandmother's worries, "We don't know yet, Grandma. We're doing everything we can to find her. Please stay strong, and we'll keep you updated."
Old Master Qin's voice held a mix of concern and determination, "Meixi, be sure to keep us informed of any developments. We'll do everything in our power to find Xixi and ensure her safety."
Qin Meixi nodded, her voice filled with gratitude, "Thank you, Grandpa."
Qin Xixi, drenched from the rain, stood in the streets, tears streaming down her face. Her small voice was filled with sadness and longing as she cried out, "Mommy, where are you?"
