A group of people climbed down the stairs of the palace hurriedly as they heard the sounds of a creature outside the castle.
In front of the group was the beautiful Fiona. But her beautiful face was nowhere to be found and was now replaced with a worried face.
Getting downstairs all the people behind her stared at the large snake dragon outside the city.
*ROOOAAARRR*
A loud roar resounded in all the people's ears, causing them to block their ears with their hands but the loud sound was not completely muffled.
Wind blew the group of people downstairs as something big flew over them. Looking up they saw a white dragon flying towards the blue snake dragon just outside Azure.
The fact that they could see the creature from the middle of the kingdom showed just how large this snake dragon was.
Fiona then began walking towards the castle gates to go and assist Damien who was going to battle the snake dragon alone.
"Where do you think you are going?!" A loud voice rang in her ears.
She looked back at the man who stood there looking at her intently. He had short black hair and light blue eyes. The man looked like he was in his 50's but everyone knew that he was way older than that.
"I want to go and help him." Fiona said as she was impatient and worried about Damien.
The man who shouted at her before just shook his head before saying, "That creature is not your level. Even if you want to help, you will probably be killed by accident when prince Damien and the dragon begin fighting."
Fiona just stared at her father in disbelief. Some creatures size doesn't determine their strength. And since most big monsters like this one were not usually of high level it was hard for Fiona to determine its level.
Looking at her father with furrowed brows the beautiful Fiona finally spoke up.
"And what exactly is that thing's level?"
Her father, Thomas Berbin just looked at his daughter with a face of annoyance. With this character of her's she would most likely attract trouble to herself one day.
However, he sighed and answered her.
"The dragon is at the level of Advanced soul emperor."
Fiona's body shuddered as she heard her father. 'Soul emperors', they were like Gods in this world, people and beings who have fully understood soul energy and have undergone the final part in the initial soul evolution path.
A soul emperor is akin to a thousand soul kings. The reason that no one decided to follow Damien was that he was also at the level of a soul emperor.
Fiona calmed down a little as she looked around again. The second prince was nowhere to be found.
Fiona's face turned to that of disgust as she thought that he was probably sleeping or hiding from her, after all, she disgraced him a few days before.
"Let's just hope that Lord Damien can defeat that creature." Thomas said, as he focused on the fight that was sure to happen in a few seconds.
...
"I'm not sure I can defeat it with my current strength." Damien said as he looked at the dragon outside.
He decided to not think about how it got to this area and focused on eliminating it before it can cause damage to the kingdom.
A light flashed over Damien's body as various equipments appeared on him. He wore a pitch black armour with various engravings on it.
This was an enchanted armour belonging to him. As the demons faced one problem or another from other races, leading to war, a Recesser normally would have a way to defend themselves and not just attack.
Damien stood straight on the white dragon's head and looked down with a fierce gaze. He was nervous that he was going to face a soul emperor dragon but he was somewhat excited also.
'Rako, I'll deal with this. Cover me!' he communicated telepathically.
The snake dragon kept roaring at Rako who hovered majestically in the air.
"I'll deal with this quick!"
Damien jumped off the dragon's head and dove down towards the snake. A helmet unfolded from the collar of the armour and covered Damien's entire head, except his horns.
Seeing the little demon coming towards it, the snake dragon roared fiercely as it shot out a stream of high pressured water.
Two blue majestic dragon like wings sprouted from Damien's back as he was on the air.
"Aura release...condense"
He then released a large amount of energy that condensed and formed a hemispheric shield in front of him.
Damien felt the force of the blast from behind the shield as he stopped moving downwards.
Knowing that he'll be pushed back Damien bent the shield and pushed himself out of the way of the blast.
His wings flapped and with a boom, the air rippled as he blasted towards the snake dragon.
The dragon saw this and used it's tail to whip Damien. Seeing the tail coming at him, Damien immediately turned and punched at the tail with all his strength.
*Bang*
The tail of the creature was knocked away, the force broke it's scales on that spot.
*Raarrh*
The creature roared in pain as it stared at the demon that fell a few metres in front of it.
Damien landed on the floor and looked at the creature that was already coming towards him again with anger and rage in its eyes.
If not for his armour, Damien's hand would've broken from the impact. He raised his sword into the air, and dark energy seems to transfer into his sword as it glowed a bright blue light.
"This dragon is quite strong. But I have a dragon of my own."
