The man woke up in a cold sweat. He had been having that dream again, the one where he was being chased by a faceless killer. He sat up in bed and tried to shake the feeling of dread that had settled over him.
He got out of bed and went to the window. The sun was just coming up, and the sky was a beautiful shade of pink. But the man couldn't enjoy the view. All he could think about was the dream.
He went to the bathroom and splashed some cold water on his face. He looked at himself in the mirror and saw the bags under his eyes. He hadn't been sleeping well since the dream started.
He went back to his bedroom and got dressed. He had to go to work, but he didn't feel like it. He just wanted to stay home and hide.
He took a deep breath and forced himself to go outside. He got in his car and drove to work.
The whole day, he couldn't stop thinking about the dream. He was so distracted that he almost made a mistake at work.
At the end of the day, he was relieved to go home. He went straight to bed and fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.
