Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 : Adina

Even though the school year is ending, I still have a lot of homework to do. The fact my teachers are already mad at me because I never do homework; so that's why I went to Rise & Grind to order a matcha latte. I never tasted matcha before but I know it's gonna taste good since this café is five stars.

While I was doing my homework, a barista served my order. He was kind of a shy guy type but he was hot. But no, I need to focus on my studies right now.

"Here's your order ma'am, thank you for ordering at Rise & Grind!" The barista said. "Thank you.." I replied in a calm tone.

Did I sound like shit?

Gosh, I'm so embarrassed..

Anyway, I actually wanted to freelance but I just decided to do my homework, I would rather go outside than just lock myself in the bedroom, freelancing.

I have lots of money now, so I don't need to worry. I can always go outside if I want,

But I want to see the barista again.

After hours of hardwork, I finally left the café. It's sad that I need to leave because I will never see the barista again.

Maybe soon I'll go here next time. Now that I'm done with my homework, I can finally freelance and earn money!

But nevermind.. I'll just go to the local bookstore and buy some books. I like to read, by the way!

Now that I'm in a local bookstore called The Bookshelf, it's a boring name for me but I heard they sell good and cheap books.

I'm in the fantasy books section and I saw someone also picking books, but he looked familiar.

Wait!

His the barista in the café! I immediately ran up to him and said,

"Hey.. What's your name?"

Gosh.. That was embarrasing.. He didn't respond for a few seconds but he kind of recognized me.

"Oh.. My name is Mateo. You?" He replied.

"Adina! Weren't you the barista in the café?"

"Uhm.. Oh.. Yes!" He chuckled softly.

He's actually kind of a shy type, but I like it.

After minutes of picking, I finally found the perfect one! It's a book by Colleen Hoover, gosh, I just like her books so much!

I went to the cashier and saw Mateo. We had eye contact for 5 seconds, it was awkward but it's fine for me.

Now that I'm done buying the book, I'll go home now. I'll call a taxi.

Minutes later, the taxi arrived. I opened the door. When I was inside the taxi, someone knocked the taxi door.

"Hello? Can I ride?" Mateo asked.

The driver said yes and Mateo gently opens the taxi door. When he was inside, he was kinda shocked why I am here.

"Oh.. I didn't know you were there."

"Hah.. It's fine!"

———

The ride was taking so long that I decided to fall asleep and putted my head on Mateo's shoulders. It was kind of embarrassing but I think he was fine at it.

When I woke up, I was unfamiliar with the place. It was some sort of a apartment..

Then I saw Mateo cooking in the kitchen!
