Ben had been waiting for Cindy to come out, he had seen her tire bursting from where he was standing at the time, so he hurriedly got into his car and drove out to wait for her just outside her house, when she came out he just lost his mind and was left staring at her gorgeous figure, those fiery Blue eyes, those lips in heart shaped form, her auburn hair flowing and all he did was manage to wave at her with a nervous smile, she walked over to him hesitantly.
"I saw you from the Terrace up there and decided to give you a ride if you don't mind, I'm also heading in that direction." Ben said with hope that she might say yes to the ride and yes she did say.
"But how can you just give me a lift?, I don't know you?" Cindy asked the strange Man
"I'm new in this town so I thought it best to make some friends and you seemed friendly yesterday." Ben said the half truth of why he did just that.
"Well thank you for giving me a ride to school." Cindy said looking ahead at the entrance to the school she was pointing to.
"This is your school really?, how come we haven't met before? I mean this is my school too." Ben said stunned that he had never noticed her until he moved.
"well I don't really associate with many people here, just a hi and I'm off. but it's nice to meet you.....?"
"Ben, you can me Ben." he said extending his hand
"nice to meet you Ben I'm Cindy." with that they bid their goodbyes and made their to their classes for the day.
Ben had never been so distracted in his life that he was constantly being reminded to concentrate in class, he kept on thinking about the beautiful Cindy, wondering if what he was feeling for her was attraction or indeed it was love. he never felt something like this when he was dating Maggie and now that he was feeling this way he decided to explore this feeling, understand it and make better decisions in the future unlike what he did with Maggie.
Meanwhile Cindy was in turmoil, she had been all over the place just thinking about those eyes that made her knees crumble, her mind turn to mush and heart beat faster. This guy who had captured her attention wasn't like the others she had seen and talked with, he was reserved, unsure of something, determined and he seemed to like her or so she thought which made her blush.
School was done for the day and once more they found each other wondering if one would come asking if they'd go together or not, well Ben certainly asked her which raised a lot of suspension and rumors spreading about him and Cindy being in a relationship or something that they felt was okay, it was a struggle for the both of them just to leave school premises, Cindy was even confronted by Maggie to warn her to stay clear of Ben.
Of course Ben heard what happened to her and he told her everything that happened between them, he didn't leave anything out which made their friendship grow and felt like they've been friends for the longest time.
"Thank you Ben, it's nice to have a Friend to talk to who doesn't see me as loner or some book worm." she said with a nervous smile, she had gotten a bit closer to him today and she liked him that she kept thinking about his cute voice and soft laughter.
Ben had an amazing time for the first time since the death of his Mom and now it felt like he had found someone new who'd make his world a better place.

"I saw you with the new owner of that house there, what are you doing with him?, mom is so going to deal with you." Cathy spat out feeling jealous that her older sister had already been friends with the young millionaire, she was going to get engaged with him and so she was going to do anything in her powers to make it happen, first she needed to stop Cindy from seeing that young Man.
Cindy stood there as she was told to stay away from Ben, that her sister was planning to woo Ben, her Ben wait what? Where did that come from?, she wasn't going to let them fool the Young Man, she forgot to get his number how stupid of her she cursed herself while listening to her step mother rant and say that sh was always going to be second and other boring stuff that she had heard from the time this woman entered her life.
"well he's my class mate and I don't think I'm planning anything against you with him, it's you planning against him not me, so please can I go I've got a lot of homework to do tonight." she said and turned heading to her room, she couldn't help but think of how much fun she had just by talking to the young Man.
Ben had been told of how her life was like, he couldn't help but be concerned because by the sound of things she wasn't welcome in her family and he knew how that felt so how could he help the girl who captured his heart already...
