Chapter 1 - Epilouge

My name is Ash. I can't remember much of what I I used to do before… this. At least, not yet.

In truth, when I became concious. I found I shared a body with someone else. Her name is Angela Cross. She doesn't know I am here. Hiding within her mind, or was it her subconscious?

I am not sure why I was here. Or if I wa a jsut a figment of her imagination. I mean, I do occasionally 'dream' and in those memories, they show the life of a man from another timeline. Where they came out with 'smartphones' and had revolutionized technology.

Here in this world, I felt the timelines didn't match. Both worlds felt different but also vaugley similar. Apart from the technology, the two worlds matched.

And it was then when I found I can essentially 'pilot' Ashley's body once she fell asleep at night. I would use her body to find clues as to where I was and I came to one difinitive conclusion.

This was not my world. Of the world of the memories I had inherited as more time passed, the clearer my memories become.

And I know for certian, it was the middle of June and the current year was 2014. Ashley was 15 years old at the moment. And the memories I possesed were from the future in May 12, 2034. A full twenty years later.

The time didn't match.

But apart from the time, I learned I was somehwere in Portland, Oregon in the United States.

No wonder it was so cold. After getting the information I wanted, I laid back down and simply 'let-go' of the controls to Ashley's body.

~

Twelve days passed since I woke in the last. And as this teenagers sun-concious alter-ego that she doesn't know that she has. What exaclty am I?

Well, I didn't really know but-

*Tires-Screeching*

*Crash!*

-things were about to change. While Ashley was in the backseat and was with her parents driving through an overpass on a rainy day, a truck behind us jumped the lane and pushed the car off the road.

The car crashed onto the riverbank down below and amid the shock, Ashley hit her head and was immediately knocked unconscious.

Still, while she had been unable to move, I soon took control and immediately relaized something new about myself. I couldn't feel Ashley's pain. Rather, I couldn't feel anything.

This didn't bode well, but I didn't have time for that and soon unbuckled my seatbelt to then check on Ashley's parents. I checked her mother, she was also unconscious but she had a particularly nasty scar on her head that was leaking blood. I noticed the passenger window was shattered with blood on the cracked window.

I touched her neck and sighed as I could t feel for a pulse like this. I then turned to the father but stopped at the rear-view mirror and locked eyes with my reflection. A cute teenager with black hair and… red-colored irises.

That's not right. But, I soon turned to the man and found a piece of glass had struck him in the neck and chest.

This is not good.
