Jade woke up alone. Mark and Chad were both in the bed. Jade got up and got dressed. She felt numb. Jade doesn't understand why. She went to the living room.
Jinks: You don't know what you are doing.
Mark: I do too.
Daisy: Fire.
Jinks: You are stupid. That's not how you cook.
Mark: Do you want to do it?
Daisy: Guys?
Jinks: Do I look like I got thumbs?
Mark: Shut up and help me.
Daisy: Guys?
Mark and Jinks: What?
Daisy: The stove is on fire.
Both Mark and Jinks looked at the stove, it was on fire. Chad came running in from outside.
Chad: What the hell? I left you alone for two minutes.
Mark: Shut up and help me put it out.
Jinks (running around): My ass is on fire! My ass is on fire!
Jade walked in and Jinks' tail was in flames. Jade went in and picked up Jinks and put his tail under water. She then grabbed a fire extinguisher and put the stove out. She looked at the pan. It was all black.
Jade: What was this?
Mark (rubbing his neck): Mac and Cheese.
Jade: How did you burn it?
Mark: I don't know. It was fine a second ago, then it was on fire.
Jade looked at the pan. You couldn't even tell that there were noodles in there. Jade picked up the pan and threw it away. She then went to the freezer and grabbed microwaveable dinners. She put them in the microwave and turned it on.
Jade: Help me clean this up.
Chad went up to Jade and kissed her sweetly, then he went to get paper towels. Mark went to Jade and kissed her.
Mark: Sorry baby, I wanted to let you rest.
Jade: I understand. But did you put water in the pan?
Mark: No, was I supposed to?
Jade looked at him. She couldn't tell if he was joking or not. But Mark looked at her like he really didn't think he had to put water in the pan.
Chad came back with the paper towels, him and Mark started to clean up the mess. Jade picked up Jinks and was examining his tail. It looked fine. But she will take him to the vet to make sure he is going to be okay. She will have to wait until morning to call them. Jade took Jinks to the bathroom and wrapped his tail up.
Jade: Jinks, why didn't you tell Mark to put water in the pan?
Jinks (looking dumbfounded): He didn't? I thought he did before I got to the kitchen.
Jade: Then what were you guys fighting about?
Jinks: How to make a salad.
Jade couldn't believe how stupid they all were. Jade took Jinks out of the bathroom and looked around.
Jade: Where is Sammy?
Daisy: She went to go get something. She took your car.
Jade went to the window, and it was true her car was gone. That concerned Jade to her core. Sammy doesn't have a driver's license and the last time she drove, she hit a mailbox, a parked car, and the side of the house. Jade was helping Daisy eat her dinner when Sammy came into the house.
Jade: Is my car wrecked?
Sammy: No…. not really.
Jade: What happened?
Sammy: I just hit one of the yellow post at the store.
Jade got up and went outside. The whole side of her car was smashed in.
Jade: Just hit a pole?
Sammy: And a truck, but don't worry, everything is fine. I will get you a new car.
Jade: You know you can't drive. Why take my car?
Sammy: I needed to get some things. I have to make a sent hiding potion.
Jade: And you couldn't wake me up or ask someone to take you?
Sammy: No one was up. Jade and the cats couldn't drive.
Jade: You couldn't wait until one of us was up?
Sammy: Nope. I asked the cats if they wanted to come with but Jinks said that he wants to live.
Jade: I don't blame him. But are you okay, Sammy?
Sammy: Yes honey, I am fine.
Jade: How long until I know if Mark's seed was planted?
Sammy: In about a week or two. It doesn't take long at all for a wolf pregnancy. If his seed was planted, you will only be pregnant for a few months and that's all. Then you will have the pup and then after a month you will have to get pregnant with Chad's baby. Then everyone will be fine.
Jade: What about Joe and the army that he is forming?
Sammy: Don't worry about him. He can not touch us, no matter where we are. I did a barrier spell and a protection spell and when you do the same, it will be even stronger.
Jade: I know you're right, but I fear that you and the cats will lose their lives.
Sammy (hugging Jade): I know you do, but they can not touch us. Plus, Mark and Chad will die for you.
Jade: I know and I don't want that either. I can't deal with the children by myself.
Sammy: You may hate children now, Jade, but you will love your own.
Jade: I hope so, or this will be hell.
Jinks: I thought we were in hell. Mark, the fat ass ate all my ice cream.
Jade: I will get more don't worry.
Jade ate a bag of blood, Mark brought her another.
Jade: I don't need anymore. I'm full.
Mark: You will need to eat more. You need strength to carry my pup.
Jade didn't want to argue, so she ate it. She felt sick from eating too much. Chad was rubbing Jade's shoulders, and Mark was rubbing her belly. Jade was annoyed by this, but she was letting them show her love in their way. When it was dawn, Mark left to get the van to take everyone to get Jade a new car and ice cream for Jinks. Jade knows it's going to be a long day.
