Was something his uncle would always tell him whenever Sky would give portions of his own meal to the needy or the orphans in the frontier town. It was an expected behavioural trait to have after all he was raised by the Town's Healers whose hearts were open to serve the community.

"As is the Selfishness of Man which screams for attention to themselves as they are starved."

Sky would often reply to his uncle's words which made good fun for both. They lived in peace for 50 years until the Kingdom had call for all young men, women, or anyone able bodied as they were at war.

Sky was taken from his home for the conscription.

Or will something else Devour it's way out?

Sky's Uncle would often tell him back when he was a boy growing up as a kind child. His mother and Father didn't mind it much as they were they Local Healers in their frontier town and praised the boy of his compassion for others until one day the Kingdom had summoned him and others to participate in a war that was brewing.
