Chapter 19 - Chapter 19

Alpha Joseph had been relentlessly searching for the girl he believed to be his mate. He had made several phone calls and visits to the Old Alpha, but each time he came up empty-handed. He was starting to believe that the girl was nothing more than a figment of his imagination, that his wolf had been playing tricks on him. Joseph couldn't shake off the feeling that the Old Alpha was hiding the girl from him. He was growing more and more desperate by the day, feeling like he was losing his chance at happiness.

Alpha Joseph was growing increasingly frustrated in his search for the girl. He had made numerous phone calls and visits to the Old Alpha,

But he couldn't shake the feeling that she was out there somewhere, waiting for him. He had to find her, no matter what it took.

He spent hours each day searching the woods, hoping to catch a glimpse of her. He even went so far as to enlist the help of his pack members, sending them out to comb the area in search of any clues.

Days turned into weeks, and still, there was no sign of the girl. Alpha Joseph was starting to lose hope. Maybe he was never meant to find her. Maybe she was meant for someone else.

But his wolf wouldn't let him give up. It was as if the beast inside him was driving him forward, urging him to keep searching.

And so he did. He scoured every inch of the territory, from the deepest woods to the highest peaks. He questioned every traveler and trader that came through, hoping to hear some news of the girl.

Joseph had even been in talks with the council, demanding that the girl be handed over to him, but so far, he had no luck. It had been months since the last time he felt the sweet scent that brought him to the girl. He missed it terribly, and his wolf was getting restless, urging him to continue the search.

Despite the frustration and disappointment, Joseph refused to give up on finding his mate. He spent countless hours strategising and trying to come up with a new plan. He was determined to do whatever it took to find her, even if it meant going to extreme lengths.

Joseph: Hello, this is Alpha Joseph speaking.

Council Member: Hello, Alpha Joseph. This is Council Member Jones. How can I assist you today?

Joseph: Council Member, I need to discuss an urgent matter with you. It's regarding a girl who crossed into my pack's territory a while ago. I believe she is being held by the Old Alpha of the neighbouring pack.

Council Member: Yes, we are aware of the situation. However, as you know, we need to proceed with caution and follow the proper procedures before taking any action.

Joseph: I understand that, but it's been months since I last felt her presence. I fear that she might be in danger. I demand that the council takes immediate action and forces the Old Alpha to release her into my custody.

Council Member: Alpha Joseph, as I said, we need to follow the rules. However, I can assure you that the council is taking this matter seriously, and we are currently investigating the situation.

Joseph: With all due respect, Council Member, I need more than just words. If the council doesn't act soon, I will withdraw all my support, both financial and personal. My pack has been a valuable asset to this council, and we expect the same support in return.

Council Member: I see. Well, let me assure you that we are doing everything we can to resolve this situation as soon as possible. We will keep you updated on any progress.

Joseph: That's all I needed to hear. Thank you for your time, Council Member.

Council Member: Thank you, Alpha Joseph. We'll be in touch.

As Joseph finished his phone call, he heard a knock on the door. "Come in," he said, expecting it to be one of his pack members. But to his surprise, a beautiful girl walked in. He recognised her immediately as Lisa, a girl he had met a few times before.

"Joseph, it's so good to see you," Lisa said with a smile.

"Hello, Lisa," Joseph replied. "What brings you here?"

"I was hoping we could have dinner tonight. I have something important to discuss with you," Lisa said, batting her eyelashes.

Joseph was not convinced. He was consumed with the search for his girl, and the last thing he wanted was a distraction. "I don't think tonight will work," he said. "I have a lot on my plate right now."

Lisa looked disappointed but quickly regained her composure. "No problem, Joseph. I understand you're busy. Maybe another time."

Joseph watched as Lisa turned to leave. He couldn't help but notice how beautiful she looked. But his mind was still focused on finding his girl. He couldn't afford any distractions, no matter how tempting they might be.

Joseph picked up the phone and dialed the council again, determined to get some answers.

***

Lisa was a strikingly beautiful woman, with long wavy blonde hair that cascaded down her back and piercing blue eyes that seemed to sparkle in the light. Her skin was flawless, and her figure was perfect, accentuated by the form-fitting dress she wore.

As she left Joseph's office, her shoulders slumped, and her once bright eyes grew dim. She had been hoping to spend some time with Joseph, but it was clear that his mind was preoccupied with something else. Lisa had known Joseph for years, and she could tell that he was troubled.

She walked down the hallway, her heels clicking on the polished floor, feeling disappointed and a little hurt. She had always hoped that Joseph would see her as more than just a friend, but it seemed that he had eyes for someone else.

Lisa was worried as she left Joseph's office. She had been trying to get closer to him for some time now, but it seemed like he was always preoccupied with something else. She was starting to get the feeling that there might be someone else on his mind, and it wasn't her.

Lisa was determined to win Joseph's heart and attention. She knew she needed to up her game and show him that she was serious about their relationship.

She decided that she needed to use magic and to do that she will need help of her mother.
