This is how all the religions that God revealed to people were completely corrupted. I returned to the world map, creeping in search of other hearts. After about three hundred years from the Council of Nicaea, I found what i was looking for.
Suddenly, we, the demons, heard a piece of strange news from the heavens. All the conversations of the angels, from which we eavesdrop, were talking about a great event that was about to happen on Earth. An event that would turn everything upside down.
I anticipated the occurrence of that event and awaited it, as did all of us. The Earth was preparing to witness his birth, the birth of Muhammad.
And I have seen from this man's affairs what I have not seen throughout my extended life. About two months before his birth, a legendary event occurred that I had not witnessed in centuries. We saw the sky of Mecca filled with birds to the extent that we could no longer see the sky.
It was a type of bird that had never been seen before. It was a bird the size of an eagle with a long neck and red feet. The Arabs called it "Al-Anqa" (Phoenix).
The sky was filled with phoenixes in a majestic scene, and each bird carried a stone in its beak and in its feet. The land of Mecca was filled with an army that came from Yemen on mighty elephants, seeking to demolish the Kaaba. It was a mythical and terrifying scene, and the soldiers of the army looked at the sky in horror, while the elephants were disturbed.
They did not realize what is happening until the birds started throwing the stones they carried on them. These were small stones, but they caused the destruction of many, and those who survived among them had their skin and organs falling apart, like slaughtered chicks.
We rushed to the heavens to eavesdrop on the news, as we have always done since ancient times. However, something in the heavens had changed. We looked at each other in astonishment and continued ascending.
Suddenly, we saw objects falling from the sky, hitting our heads. We turned and fled, but those objects struck us, burning us, and we descended to the ground, our bodies and hearts burning. It seems that the time of the demonic rule has come to an end, and a new divine era has begun, the era of "Muhammad."
The land of Mecca trembled, and the three hundred and sixty idols that were nailed around the Kaaba fell on their heads. The fire of Faris, which was worshiped and fueled by priests for a thousand years, was extinguished today.
We, the demons, hurried to the house of His mother's house to witness his birth. There we saw something we could not believe at first. 'Mary', the daughter of Imran (mother of Jesus), and 'Asiya', the wife of Pharaoh (mother of Moses), and other women whom we had never seen their goodness before, all stood around 'Amina', the mother of Muhammad, to witness the birth. It's puzzling how they came here.
When he came out, we waited for Satan to whisper to him so that he would cry, but Satan did not come. The child Muhammad came out and did not cry. Satan told us afterward that he did not dare to approach. We looked at each other in confusion.
To every time its own significance, and this man's time has another significance. I squeezed out my deadliest poisons and crawled with my entire body, which had grown to a great length with time, and I descended to Mecca. I knew that I would stay there for a long time.
Years passed and "Muhammad" was indeed a prophet. This man nullified all the poison I've sown throughout the history of the Earth. He spoke only the plain truth.
He revealed that "Ibrahim" (Abraham), "Mussa" (Moses), and "Issa" (Jesus) all called for one religion. He exposed that the Jews abandoned the Torah and adopted a book of their own imagination. He declared that Christians transformed Jesus from a messenger of God into the Son of God, while God is the one and only God who neither begets nor is begotten.
He stated that the Christians wrote in the Gospel of Jesus whatever pleased them, and that Jesus did not die but was raised to God, and he will return at the end of time to fulfill the prophecies of the Torah and rule the entire world with the religion of "Ibrahim," "Musa," and "Muhammad."
He restored the law of Moses that the Christians had abandoned, and he exonerated "Sulaiman" (Solomon) from the accusation of sorcery that the Jews used to accuse him of. He affirmed that Sulaiman was a sent prophet who had control over humans, jinn, birds, and animals by a miracle from God, not through sorcery.
Despite the fact that the state of "Muhammad" did not extend beyond the Arabian Peninsula, he created men behind him whose faith was as strong as solid rocks and as steadfast as mountains. They were men whom even demons could not handle. There was no way to defeat them except through direct killing, and the first of them was the Prophet "Muhammad."
I moved toward Al-Madinah, specifically toward the dwellings of the Jews... Then I left after depositing in their hearts what I had deposited. Suddenly, one of these Jews presented a roasted sheep as a gift to the Prophet "Muhammad" and his companions. This woman asked the Jewish elders about the deadliest poison among all poisons. They named a specific one, so she deposited it in the sheep.
She asked which part the Prophet "Muhammad" prefers to eat, and they said the foreshank. She increased the amount of poison in the sheep's arm multiple times compared to what she had put in the rest of the body.
"Muhammad" accepted the gift, sat down, and his companions gathered around the sheep. My narrowed eyes became alert. "Muhammad" took the arm and took a bite from it. Then one of his companions followed and ate, but suddenly the Prophet "Muhammad" stopped them and said:
"Stop your hands, for this arm tells me that it is poisoned."
My eyes narrowed with devilish cunning. I knew that the single bite he took from the sheep was enough to kill him, even if it took some time. And indeed, three years after eating the sheep, the Prophet Muhammad fell severely ill and said in his sickness:
"I still feel the effects of the morsel I ate from the sheep. It's time for my aorta to break.."
Thus, the path was paved for me to spread more poisons. I tried my best to corrupt the teachings of Islam, but Muhammad had left nothing susceptible to poisoning. He didn't forget anything except what he intentionally omitted. The hearts of his companions were harder than diamonds. The biggest problem was that God had vowed to protect the Quran, leaving me no way to distort it. The Quran mentioned everything clearly in numerous places. However, I was not accustomed to anything standing in my way. So, I found a way out, or rather, a partial solution.
'Abu Bakr' and 'Umar', the companions of the Prophet, had passed away, and after them, 'Uthman ibn Affan' assumed the caliphate. The dominion of 'Muhammad' expanded from China to Tunisia. If a few more years were granted, it would have conquered the entire world.
Muhammad built an entire generation of extraordinary, rare, and loyal personalities in a way that had never happened before in history and will never happen again. Even the greatest civilizations of the world would be proud to have just one person like them. How about a civilization that had more than a hundred thousand of them?
It was not appropriate for me to rely on anyone else this time to spread my poisons. It was imperative that I descended into the arena myself. I shed my serpent form and took on a human appearance. I descended upon Medina, the city that raised all these men. I arrived in the form of a black man coming from Yemen, a black demon named 'Abdullah', 'Abdullah ibn Saba'.
I began to subtly corrupt their thoughts, injecting venom into their hearts. I examined their creed, their scholars, and their messenger, but I couldn't find any vulnerability to exploit. However, I scrutinized further and finally found it—the loophole through which I could inject all my poisons.
After the death of their messenger, the senior companions gathered at the Saqifah of Banu Sa'idah to select a caliph for the Muslims (successor).
However, they neglected one of the most important companions. A man of great significance was not present at that gathering; instead, he was preoccupied with washing the body of the Prophet 'Muhammad' in preparation for his burial. This was 'Ali', 'Ali ibn Abi Talib', the cousin and son-in-law of the Messenger.
The problem was that it was impossible to influence the beliefs of these men at all. In fact, as a demon, I feared that even if I approached them, my own beliefs would be affected. Therefore, the poison had to be purely political this time. Politically pure. 'Ali ibn Abi Talib' was from the family of the Prophet and was named by the Messenger as the leader of the faithful. How could they gather without him in the Saqifah and choose a caliph for themselves without even seeking his opinion? My eyes squinted with diabolical satisfaction, and I proceeded on my path.
But I left the city in disgrace. The people of the city unanimously agreed on the Saqifah's opinion. They all pledged allegiance without hesitation to, 'Abu Bakr'.
Even 'Ali' himself pledged allegiance to him simply. These people knew their Messenger words well. He had ranked his companions in order of merit: 'Abu Bakr', then 'Umar', then 'Uthman', and finally 'Ali'.
My claims are that these three usurped the caliphate from Ali three times, which vanished into thin air. How could they steal the caliphate and none of them came out of it with a new garment? Instead, they all died in debt, offering their wealth and themselves for the sake of God.
But this poison that I presented, even if it couldn't affect them, it could influence the weak or recent converts of them. That's why I headed to Sham (Syria). However, I was once again driven out. The ruler of Sham, 'Muawiyah ibn Abi Sufyan', managed it in a way that made it impossible for any strife to ignite. So I left and headed to Iraq, where I found what I was looking for.
At first, I spread numerous criticisms against all the rulers of the land. If people accepted them, it would be easy for them to accept criticisms against the caliph 'Uthman'. And indeed, many people, including prominent military leaders like 'Ash-Shatr al-Nakha'i', accepted my criticisms against the rulers and' Uthman'.
I continued to criticize and attack until I gathered a force of three thousand men. We entered the Madinah and confronted Caliph 'Uthman' with our criticisms, demanding that he abdicate and appoint 'Ali'.
But even in this matter, the Prophet had personally informed him. He told him that there would be hypocrites who would come to him and ask him to take off a shirt that God had clothed him with, and not to take it off. So 'Uthman' refused to step down from the caliphate. We besieged him and cut off his water supply until we killed him.
With that, the people pledged allegiance to 'Ali ibn Abi Talib' as the caliph. But the prominent companions differed. One group believed that 'Ali' should seek revenge against Uthman's killers first, and if not, they would not pledge allegiance to him. Among these were 'Aisha', the Prophet's wife, 'Talha ibn Ubaydullah', and 'Az-Zubayr ibn al-Awam'.
The other group believed that the retribution should be postponed for purely political reasons. The killers were from the prominent tribes of Iraq and eastern Arabia, and they were recent converts to Islam. If immediate retribution was taken from them, half of the Islamic kingdom would split from the caliphate.
I used Ali's political opinion to my advantage. I spread the idea among his opponents that 'Ali ibn Abi Talib' hated 'Uthman ibn Affan', and that's why he consented to the killing. He only used this political argument as an excuse to help the killers escape. It seems that I had indeed started the fire.
'Talha' and 'Az-Zubayr' decided to travel to Iraq to seek retribution from Uthman's killers themselves, accompanied by five thousand men. They took 'Aisha', the Prophet's wife, with them to soften the hearts of the people there.
When they arrived in Iraq, they demanded that the tribes hand over Uthman's killers for retribution, but the tribes vehemently refused, just as Ali had predicted.
The war began, and Talha's army killed many members of the tribes but few of Uthman's killers, as Ali had predicted.
Here 'Ali' himself went to Iraq to resolve this conflict and reproached 'Talha', 'Zubair', and 'Aisha' for not believing in his political vision that he foresaw. They all calmed down and pledged their allegiance to Ali as the successor, agreeing with his opinion.
It seemed that Ali had succeeded in extinguishing the fire that had been ignited, but it was not so. In the night, while everyone was asleep, a group of men, including myself, sneaked into Talha's camp and killed a few of them.
Then we went to Ali's camp and killed a few of them as well. We shouted from both sides while the other malicious side attacked us. And thus, the men rose and their swords clashed. 'Ali' descended and called everyone to stop the fighting. 'Aisha' also descended on her camel and called upon everyone to cease the fighting, but her camel was struck by numerous arrows, no one knew from where they came.
Ali shielded Aisha's camel with his body in a true heroic scene, clearing the way for her to exit the arena. Then he ordered women from his household to accompany her to the city.
'Talha' was killed by an unknown arrow. When 'Ali' saw him, he wept. 'Zubair' was killed by a treacherous stab during the Duhr prayer(afternoon). Someone came to inform 'Ali' of Zubair's death, and Ali told him to inform Zubair's killer that he was destined for hell.
Ali personally buried Zubair and said:
'I hope that Zubair, Talha, Uthman, and I are among those whom Allah has praised:
[We shall have removed whatever unworthy thoughts or feelings may have been [lingering] in their hearts, and they shall rest as brethren, facing one another in love upon thrones of happiness.]'
Since Iraq was an unstable place, 'Ali' preferred to rule the Muslims from Kufa. In this way, Ali ibn Abi Talib almost extinguished the fire once again.
But alas, I was still here, 'Ibn Saba' was still here. There were many loopholes that had formed now. Ali, while implementing his policy of winning the hearts of the tribes of Iraq, was forced to keep some of them as commanders in the army as they were. Among them was 'Al-Ashʿath ibn Qays', one of the symbols of rebellion against 'Uthman' and others like him.
I cried out among the people, 'Look how Ali ibn Abi Talib left the city of the Messenger of Allah and went to establish the Caliphate from Kufa, the cradle of Uthman's killers. See how his army fights against 'Aisha', 'Talha', and 'Zubair' and kills of theme those he kills, but refuses to fight those who killed Uthman ibn Affan. Doesn't that indicate his hatred towards Uthman ibn Affan?'
However, my cries only affected the new Muslims. Muslims know well who 'Ali ibn Abi Talib' is, the Prophet's cousin, the husband of his daughter 'Fatima', and the advisor to the three previous caliphs.
The Prophet said about him, 'Allah made the offspring of every prophet from crux and has refused to make my progeny from any other lineage except Ali's.' And 'Whoever considers me as his master, Ali is his master.' So my cries found no echo.
