Tanya like other vassals of the Petrova family were all given the surname Volkov.
Volkov had the meaning of rock/stone which was a solid family name that quite suited how they did things.
Those in the family toughened their bodies like strong boulders and they had a similar mentality toward other things in their lives.
Lev was the head of the family and he lived up to his family name for their long family line aimed toward providing a strong protection of their kingdom.
Many of their family and vassals served within the main army and the city guards.
The vassals all took the name Volkov which meant Wolf. If the stone provided stability then the wolf was full of aggression and could go on the attack.
Tanya Volkov gradually adapted to her new life as she ate slightly better meals and worked in the city guard.
She was stationed near the city walls closer to the outer districts where the outside of the city could be overlooked and other guards would be stationed at the gates.
From her vantage point patrolling the city walls, Tanya could see what was happening below so she often spent some time overlooking the areas nearby.
She narrowed her eyes with a serious look on her face before standing up to run toward the steps. "How troublesome."
What was spotted was a large group of people who walked out from the back alleys within the poor district.
As it happened, several other guards saw it yet they turned their gazes away as if it was a normal occurrence.
Several shops were open with workers doing their best to sell clothes, food, and many other things but their business was suddenly interrupted by the intimidatingly large group of people that loitered around.
They started to take things from the goods being sold openly using them without showing any signs of wanting to pay.
A tattooed man entered the store which followed with crashing noises coming from within.
He was grabbing onto a store worker pulling them out onto the street before dropping them to the ground.
Laughter filled the area and was broken by a cry. "Ah!"
