It's time.
I can't believe I'm saying this about my own death.
I am not really going to die—if everything goes well, that is. Nico joked about this being much like a heist; it succeeds or fails in the planning stage. If you manage to pull it off, you go home with a huge treasure. On the other hand, one glitch in your plans and you either end up dead or in the back of a police van, after which you spend a hectic amount of time behind bars.
In this case, however, failure doesn't land anyone behind bars. It will be the end of us.
Will is coming with me.
I should be comforted because the man I love is going to be beside me through what's probably going to be the most nerve-wracking time of my life, but I'm not.
If I don't make it out of this rodeo alive, he's the only person I can trust with my siblings. That, and I love him. I don't want him to get hurt, especially not because of me.
