Will glares at me like I asked an absurd question. "Because I wanted to have a meal."
I roll my eyes. I'm not the one who approached him and ruined his date, yet he's glaring daggers at me and Bastian.
And what's with the bullshit excuse? He almost sounds like he wants to ask if I own the restaurant and forbid him from eating here…which just makes his presence more fishy.
"This is…" Bastian asks, referring to Will.
I'm considering how to introduce Will when he does the honors. "Guillermo. Cat lives with me."
I want to slap the heck out of him. Does he know how odd that sounds?
Bastian's expression darkens, as expected, and the smirk on Will's lips tells me he knows exactly what he is doing.
"Mind if we join you?"
