CAT
Barely a few hours after Will leaves, Francesco looks for me. Then he gives me the most unexpected thing.
"My car keys?" I look at the old key in my hand and blink in surprise. This is my key. But how did he find it?
Seeing the question on my face, he shrugs a little. "Will had me bring your old car."
I bolt out of the house and into the garage. Sure enough, parked next to the brand-new white Toyota is my Goldie. I am giddy with excitement as I run around inspecting it. Not only has it been brought here, but the dent it incurred from Will rear-ending me has also been repaired.
It wasn't a huge dent—driving around with it wouldn't be dangerous—but why would he give the order to not only repair it but bring it here? Didn't he just despise it as an old hank of metal a few hours ago?
