Silva: Holy shit!
Salv: What is inside, Silva?
Isra peaks into the journal and is at a loss for words.
Alisah: (Curiously) May I see?
Alisah and Salv flip through the journal, which is mostly empty except the first few pages. The journal shows a sketch of a map with a few lines drawn through it.
Alisah: What is all of this excitement for? I do not get it…
Salv: Yeah, the sketch is not even finished yet.
Silva: This is a sketched diagram of part of Mt. Divinus.
Isra: These lines could indicate a secret passageway through the mountain.
Salv: Has there never been a mention of one before?
Isra: Not a single one. My old man doesn't even know of one. What about your Uncle, Silva?
Silva: If Uncle Rob knew, he woulda told me by now.
Alisah: Did he create this passage or did he discover it? Or perhaps it was a bit of both? Let's try the pager.
Isra tries the pager, but it turns out to be too broken to communicate with.
Silva: Damn it-
Salv: Assuming he is the only one alive who knows about this. All we have is an unfinished sketch. How can we be certain that he even finished this project?
Silva: We'll just hafta find out guys!
Isra: (Sighs) Well at least we have some new info about the end goal here.
Silva: I bet once we trained in every region of Instivale, we would be ready to conquer the mountain.
Isra: It is better than staying in one area.
Salv: Plus, there's rare materials for me to find!
Alisah: And extravagant places to explore!
Silva: (Nods) Then let's continue outta this canyon and head for the Midwestern region! Once we're ready, we will come back to the North for the final climb!
The Silver Expeditioners nod to each other and exit the summer home.
March 17, 3009
Hundreds of miles away from "The Top Master's" summer home, a few privates that are stationed at the Head Northern Instivalen Government Base, are in panic.
Private 3: Sir. There is a distress signal coming from Northern Instivale Penitentiary.
Private 4: It seems one of the prisoners has escaped…
Private 5: I don't know what to do-
Private 3: Could it be-
Corporal Grain: One at a time, privates.
The 3 Privates look at each other and let one of them speak.
Private 4: Sir, this signal was the highest alert threat.
Corporal Grain: What happened to the warden and the rest of the prison staff?
Private 4: We lost all contact with them.
Corporal Grain: Shit.
Private 4: Should I contact the Dodeca Sergeants?
Corporal Grain: No. Let me handle this. One of the Dodeca Sergeants will probably hand this responsibility to the Pillars. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. You all are dismissed.
Privates 3, 4, and 5: (Simultaneously) Sir!
The Privates walk off while Corporal Grain desperately calls one of the Dodeca Sergeants.
Meanwhile… the phone rings in the midst of a fight in Northern Instivale.
Unknown Voice: What is it?!
Corporal Grain: Sorry to bother you Sergeant Allverede at such a time.
The Dodeca Sergeant knocks an opponent clean to the ground with one punch. His other hand barely holds on to the phone.
Sergeant Lukas: How many times I gotta tell ya to call me Lukas! Anyways I don't got time for chitchat, Grainy. Get to the point already.
Corporal Grain: Right. There was a break in at Northern Instivale Penitentiary. The escape prisoner is the highest threat in that facility. We can assume the warden is dead.
Sergeant Lukas: Goddamn. Must be that "Liberator of Chains" maniac. Alright, I'll let the Pillars know, this needs to be dealt with by them.
Corporal Grain: Is there anything you want me to do in the meantime-
The phone hangs up.
March 18, 3009
Sergeant Lukas is in a tent with one of the Pillars: Command Sergeant Major White.
Sergeant Lukas: Hope I caught ya up to speed, Justus.
Commander White: What appalling news. I shall clean up Warden Campbell's mess immediately. The staff should be ashamed of themselves to let this scoundrel on the loose.
Sergeant Lukas: You know his immense strength, he's more than a nuisance.
Commander White: Come now. Don't you think that I am more than capable of handling trash?
