Lines of mesmerizing women walked up and down marble streets, all dressed in elegant or outright luxurious clothes. Some seemed laced in cold and regal auras. Others looked gentle and relaxed. Others still shimmered with sparkling youth and vibrant life. But without a shred of doubt, there wasn't a woman on these marble streets who wouldn't stand out in the average city.
But as the male tourists and foreigners stared at the abundance of jeweled statues, magnificent monuments, of silver and gold-plated carriages, they knew that this was no ordinary city. And how else could it be, when this was Taoyi, wealthiest city of the Barbarian Lands, and capital of the Marchland of Shen.
