Wish Shop, ???.
By the time Grayfia came to her senses, she had arrived in a modest living room. The last thing she remembered was Adam gathering mana. Then she found herself in a different place, almost as if someone had skipped the part of the process. And indeed, that is what happened with her.
Stuck in stasis she had no idea what happened afterward, from her point of view something really did get skipped. That was because of the sudden change in place, if Adam had not brought her together when the spell ended she wouldn't have noticed anything amiss.
However, she placed those thoughts on the back of her head to focus on what lay in front of her eyes.
"This is the area where I make contracts, that door over there is the one people come in from." Adam explained to her the basic rules of how the shop worked.
"I'll be sure to take care of this place from now on, Master." The living room had a simple feel with the couches and a few decorations. Overall, it wouldn't be difficult to keep this place clean. After all, it already looked spotless.
But, that was because Adam cleaned it. Now, Grayfia had to match that. Although not confident, she was sure to grow and learn more ways to do her job. A maid's most basic skill was her ability to clean, after all, she couldn't lose in that.
"I'll show you around the other rooms, there aren't many so don't worry." Adam guided her to the first area that he knew she'd like.
"This is your room," He opened a door that that appeared on a wall and entered, "There isn't much in here aside from a bed, a walk-in closet, and the bathroom, but if you need something else tell me and I'll add them."
"This is more than anything I deserve, thank you Master." Grayfia was content with this. She liked the coziness of this room already. The light-coloured walls gave it a calm feel, and the bed looked comfortable like the one in the shop.
Even if Adam said that there wasn't much in the room, it had everything one would need in their bedroom.
"Well, if you say so. But, if you do need something, you can tell me about it. As a master, I should make sure that you aren't lacking anything." Adam understood how she operated, so he had to use this sneaky trick and it worked.
"I will be sure to let you know, Master." Grayfia's loyalty ran deep, it was one of her defining qualities.
Satisfied Adam nodded and took her to the second room at her behest, the kitchen area. With utmost concentration, Grayfia heard every explanation about the artifacts in this place. There were many that she had seen for the first time, and their functions amazed her. However, she thought that it was only natural since Adam made these. He had unmatched skills as an artificer.
'They are almost like Longinus' but he uses them as mere kitchen tools. Master is an incredible man.' A small smile appeared on her lips when Adam was talking about the knife set he made from a Dragon God's fangs.
"…Grayfia you have to be careful when using this ok? This can cut through space like a hot knife through butter even in the sealed form. Use these only when you can't cut things with the normal set. Also, those knives can cut through almost all barriers, but I casted one on you so it won't harm you. Still, be careful." Adam had to cast a barrier on Grayfia since he wanted to take her out of the world, if he hadn't the pressure in the Administrator area would've crushed her.
After that, he thought of leaving the barrier as is for her protection. Some questionable people walked into his shop, and Grayfia getting caught in the crossfire wasn't something he wanted. After all, he finally had someone with him in this place.
"I'll follow your orders, Master." Grayfia bowed as he nodded with satisfaction.
Adam was ready to move to the next area when he noticed the top shelf in his kitchen, in there he stored his baked goods and tea pouches for easy access. It had a space and time spell placed on it so anything within it wouldn't spoil no matter how many years passed. However, unlike how he left it the shelf had nothing.
'That damned Goddess again…' Adam sighed, though he wasn't that upset as refilling it wouldn't take a day. But, he didn't understand why that woman didn't will the food into existence, she should be able to as she had eaten it once.
However, he doubted that it would matter even if she hadn't tasted it. Her ability allowed her to bring anything into reality if she wished for it. So, if she wished to have a truckload of Adam's food, she'd get it without his involvement. Instead, she used this method to grab dishes from his spatial storage and shelves. It made him curious, but he couldn't ask her because she hadn't visited in a while.
'I'll ask her next time.' He thought opening another door. This was the place he made the moment Grayfia arrived.
"A library?" She said, but those words didn't do the place justice.
The only apt name for it was The Grand Library. Hundreds of Bookshelves lined hundreds of floors, books flew about like birds through the middle column that stretched for meters above and below. The rich smell of books and wood made Grayfia sure that she'd enjoy this place. Reading books in her free time, old or new was a hobby of hers.
"I thought that you'd get bored, so I used all the books in my storage to form this place. There are books about cooking, magic, history, books I got from other worlds, novels, and even manga if you like them."
