Chapter 284 - Wrong Room?

"Alright, so what do you need me to do?" Adam asked.

"As expected, I knew you would understand." The Old man laughed.

"Well, doing this will also benefit me in the future." Adam wasn't foolish enough to nod his head and go along with things. It would be foolish to let the chance slip.

"Nice, you keep the future in mind. Remarkable indeed." The old man nodded in acknowledgment, but Adam's face had a stale look.

"Buttering me up with compliments isn't gonna make me accept the task."

"I am not doing it with that in mind. I do think that you are a great man in many regards. That is why I wanted to give you this task." The old man has kept watch on what Adam did in the Universe under his control.

Even though he could have tried, he never breached Adam's private time with the women he had down there. So far, he tried to be a good host and racked up some favors with Adam for this day.

"Can you bring my daughter to meet me?" He saw Adam's atmosphere change when he asked that.

"Do you know what you are asking for?" The old man nodded at the question. This could cause trouble for the two of them in many ways.

Before he became the Administrator the old man lived in the universe he now oversees. But, after dying he got an offer to merge with the System vessel made by the world. Given the chance to watch over his kids and the world even after his death, he accepted that offer in a heartbeat.

"You didn't know that you'd be bound to this place, did you?" Seeing the old man nod with a wry smile Adam sighed. This was why one needs to read the contracts a few times before agreeing to them.

Administrator, the being who watches over the universe along with it's infinite timelines and maintains the balance within them all. Every Universe has one, but the difference is whether it is conscious or unconscious. This universe had a conscious Administrator in the form of this old man, unlike Nobara's world which had an unconscious one.

But even with the power that came with this job, there were drawbacks too.

'Being confined to a fixed domain they have to work for eternity.' The job had a heavy restriction on the one who agreed to it.

For someone who had a family on the planet below, this became a cruel job. They can watch them live, may that be in happiness or peril, but nothing else.

However, Adam found something weird about this situation.

'He should have been an Administrator for a while. If his daughter is still alive then was he one of the non-human races maybe? He also has his memories intact so his strength wasn't a joke compared to the world.' Adam watched the silent old man.

When someone merges with the System vessel of the Universe, their personality and memories get wiped and they return to an empty slate. But if the person used to be strong when they lived, the chance that their mind gets preserved becomes high.

"So, will you do it?" The old man asked.

"It will be tough, but if you give me support as the Administrator then I guess it is possible." Adam already formed the plans in his mind. But, the rest depended on a few variables.

"I'll give you as much support as you want." The old man felt relieved that this went without any hiccups. Now, he just had to give information about his daughter and where to find her.

A translucent golden screen appeared in front of Adam. It had the profile of the Old man's daughter. Reading through the information he heaved a sigh.

"So, you used to be 'The God', huh?" Adam waved the system window away. The person in front of him indeed had similarities to what he imagined.

"Yes, I used to be. But that isn't much in front of you, is it?" The Old man gave a faint smile.

One of the strongest beings that existed in this universe before he took the position of Administrator. However, even he couldn't escape the embrace of death. So, he doubted if he truly was a God.

'Well, whatever.' Adam had to bring this guy's daughter to this Administrator space.

It definitely wouldn't be easy. The system would intervene with this on the highest level. So, for this plan to work, Adam needed the daughter to agree to this.

"I will ask her. If she doesn't cooperate, I can't do anything about it." Adam couldn't guarantee her reaction to this information. But, one thing for sure, if she didn't wish for this it wouldn't happen.

"I understand. If you do this for me I would be forever grateful to you, even if it fails." The old man had prepared for this, and he wouldn't blame it on Adam.

It would be tasteless considering what Adam was doing for him. This could land him in deep trouble.

"Alright, if that is all then I'll be on my way." With this dealt with, Adam could teleport to his desired location.

And that was his room in the shop.

"Mhm~…" But the moment he arrived there, doubts started to rise in his head.

A beautiful woman with pink hair slept on the bed in this room. She twisted and turned on the silk sheets with barely anything on. The soft sighs that left her lips held a seductive charm similar to her curves.

"Did I come to the wrong room?" Adam muttered looking at Roygun who slowly opened her eyes.

"Hmmm~… am I still asleep?" She rubbed her eyes and stared at him again. This wasn't a dream, he stood right in front of her. Naked(almost) in the bed, her lips curled up in a smile.

"Huhu~ isn't it a bit too much to invade someone's room when they are defenseless?" Roygun sat up on the bed and flipped her hair to one side. The right strap of her nightgown slid down as the left one held on for dear life. If she made one sudden move, her assets would be his to see.

Of course, she didn't care for that. A playful smirk appeared on her lips.

"Since it is my Cutie, I'll forgive you intruding on my ro-Ouch!" But before she could finish a finger flick landed square on her forehead.

"What are you doing in my room? Shouldn't you be working at this hour?" The clock on the bedside table read 9 A.M.

The shop should've opened by now. If the main manager slacked off how would the rest of the employees do their work?

"This is the second nap I have taken in the four days you've been gone, and the shop with work fine with our excellent recruits." Adam sighed at her answer. He couldn't blame her for taking a rest now, in fact, he might tell her off because she wasn't taking enough rest. The shop ran in perfect condition from the bustle on the lower floors.

As for the excellent recruits she talked about. When he reached the first floor they came to greet him.

"Grayfia?"
