Chapter 105 - Gift? Skimpy Dress?

"So, what is the gift?" Even Sirzechs was intrigued since he had heard that Adam had some interesting devices like the ones that helped in magic control, he had heard this from Rias who talked to him about how she was able to increase her control over the Power of Destruction so dramatically.

"Well, I am sure you all will like it," Adam said as he handed out the presents, one necklace which looked a little similar to Rias's in the basic design but the rest was different as it had multiple chains, after that he handed the two brooches to the men.

"Oh My, this is so pretty," Venelana looked at her necklace and then looked at Rias's and smiled, "I was just about to ask where Rias got hers from to get one for myself, Thanks, Adam."

"It is nothing," Adam just smiled, he was just happy that they seemed to like the gift or at least Venelana found its appearance to be appealing.

"Hmmm," Sirzechs was carefully examining the brooch and he noticed something.

"As expected you noticed, I'll just tell you guys about some of the things it can do so do keep it on your person at all times," Adam then explained the powers of his gift to the Gremory family and after he was done, he and Rias left quickly leaving the other three in the dining hall.

"…" Venelana was speechless after hearing everything from Adam but there was something very clear.

'He seems to be doing a lot for Rias's sake, I guess that is all that really matters,' Venelana thought with a smile as Grayfia stood in the back unblinking as if she was frozen in place after hearing what Adam said.

Meanwhile…

"Sirzechs come with me to the training facility," Zeoticus said and Sirzechs nodded, there was no one better than him to test out these artifacts and…

"Attack me at full force," Zeoticus said as soon as they arrived in the training area and his demand did perplex Sirzechs a bit…

'Does father trust Adam that much? No, it is most likely because Grayfia didn't say anything and he must've noticed something as well,' Sirzechs thought as he got ready and launched his strongest attack at Zeoticus…. For six hours on repeat and…

"This shield is impenetrable," Zeoticus shook his head as the barrier around him shrunk and went back into the brooch as soon as thought of deactivating it. and the best part was even with the shield his attacks would leave the barrier unobstructed, so basically he became a tank with unlimited defense.

"Not to mention that I feel like I am recovering way faster than normal," Sirzechs said with a wry smile, whatever Adam told them about this was indeed true, no if anything it surpassed their imagination of what they thought this would be.

"This is like having a personal Sacred Gear that is on the level of a Longinus," Zeoticus sighed as even he was in disbelief that his family was in possession of 4 of these.

He could already feel a headache just thinking about how much trouble it would cause if word of this gets out. This was absolute madness but it brought him way more reassurance than the trouble so he was alright with it.

"I think I can now rest easy about leaving the family in Rias's hands, with someone like him watching over her, she could do no wrong," Zeoticus smiled slightly as it seemed that his troublemaker daughter had a terrifying guardian angel.

So, where was this guardian angel currently? And what was he doing?

Well, he was faced with a difficult question when they were at the entrance of the shrine in which Akeno lived.

"Did you make one for Akeno as well?" Rias asked him this question and…

'I knew this would come sooner or later but…' Adam thought as he took in a deep breath before answering.

"Yes," Adam did indeed make one for Akeno as well, and he knew that this could be troubling but…

"Well ...at least you are taking responsibility," Rias said as she started to climb the stairs while Adam looked at her.

'She's angry, isn't she?' Adam sighed as he started to climb the stairs as well. It couldn't be helped anyway so he thought of just waiting till her mood gets back to normal.

'He just doesn't lie, does he?' Rias thought as she shook her head, but she liked his honesty and already knew that he thought she was angry, so she let him be that way, 'I mean he needs to be punished a little for doing that.'

And with those thoughts the two arrived at the shrine, and they saw Akeno standing outside in her school uniform.

"Hmm, Rias and Adam?" Akeno looked at the two with her usual smile but somehow the two can notice that it was more vibrant than before especially Rias.

"I came to say hello to your mother," Rias spoke with a smile, she was indeed happy to see that Akeno was doing much better than before, but there was a little something else in that smile as well.

"Oh My, Am I in trouble?" Akeno giggled looking at Rias's smile but she was unbothered by it in reality, what has happened had happened at this point so there was no point worrying over it, which is why Akeno welcomed the two with a smile, "Come on in."

'It is complicated, although I am happy that her wish was granted, and seeing her be so cheerful does indeed make me feel grateful, but….' Rias shook her head while following Akeno into the house, and as soon as they were in the living room where they found Shuri looking at the garden through the open sliding doors.

"Oh, We have guests? Why didn't you tell me about it Akeno?" Seeing Rias Shuri was about to stand up but…

"I am not really a guest since Akeno and I are pretty much like family now. Also, My name is Rias Gremory, it is very nice to meet you Shuri-san," Rias said as she stopped Shuri from getting up while the latter understood what was happening.

"Oh, So it is Rias-sama, I am very thankful to you for taking care of Akeno while I was gone," Shuri said with a smile, she had heard about what happened to Akeno after her death and it made her really grateful for Rias who took her daughter in.

"It is quite the opposite actually, Akeno is the one who had always taken care of me," Rias said as it was indeed true, Akeno had helped her out a lot while they were growing up and she was one of the people who had to deal with her temper tantrums from time to time but she didn't complain one bit...

'It is just that she has been a little different lately,' Rias just kept that thought to herself.

"I am happy to hear that she has found such a great friend, Please continue to take care of her," Shuri smiled brightly as she bowed slightly, she was grateful to know that at least her daughter wasn't alone after she died, at the time this was her biggest regret, but it was all in the past now since she got another chance.

"Please don't bow, I wouldn't be able to work properly without her help and tea anyway," And as Shuri and Rias were talking Adam silently slipped away to give them their space, it would be weird if he stayed there for now, not to mention that he had some things in his mind.

'I think I should really build a garden in the shop,' Adam thought while looking at the fully bloomed flowers along with the butterflies dancing around them.

"Adam, do you really like the garden?" It was then that Akeno came near him and asked the question, she too slipped away from the other two after seeing that Adam was gone, and she figured he'd be here.

"A little," Adam answered and Akeno smiled.

"I see then I'll put more effort into maintaining it, so come by often to see it," Akeno was full of smiles as Adam nodded.

'I need to talk about that as well,' Adam thought but there was something he needed to do before that.

"Akeno I got something for you?" Adam said and before he could take out the necklace…

"Hmm? Is it some type of skimpy dress you want me to wear for you at night?" Akeno asked making him stop in place.
