Chapter 44 - Training Starts

"Yes, but President won't you introduce us to the person who will be training us?" Akeno smiled as she spoke, it was clear that Adam was going to train them but they didn't know anything about him.

"Oh, yes, This is Adam and…" Rias was stumped on how to answer any further since…

'How do I tell them about the way we met?' A blush appeared on Rias's face and Akeno's smile got a little bigger as she noticed that.

"Well, I guess I should introduce myself," Adam stood up and turned around to look at Rias's peerage.

"My name is Adam as Rias said, and she formed a contract with me to train you guys for the rating game, she even paid a hefty price for it so you guys should also work hard. So, let's get along, yeah?" Adam said with a smile.

"Ufufu Sure," Akeno giggled while looking at Adam.

'He is calling the president by her first name like it is nothing and her reaction from before...' Akeno thought as Rias spoke quickly after shaking her head to stop recalling the events from before.

"E-Everyone gather in front of the building in an hour," Rias had the urge to smack Adam as he mentioned the thing they did, even if it was indirectly she was still embarrassed by the way she acted at the time. But she was going to save it for later.

"Yes, president!!" Everyone nodded and everyone left the clubroom.

And soon they all gathered in front of the school then…

"Hah* Why are we climbing a mountain?" Issei sounded exhausted as he walked uphill with a big bag on his shoulders. He had to tell his family that he'll be going on a trip with his club.

His life has been nothing but hectic ever since he became a devil.

"This is training," Adam said as he pointed at Kiba and Koneko who were carrying 5 to 10 times more than Issei.

"Argh!! I will not Lose!!" Issei ran up the hill and was the first one to reach the end of the path, but he was so exhausted that he didn't even notice the big mansion in front of him. In the end, he was dragged inside by Koneko who just grabbed his leg while passing by.

"Well, since everyone is here let's get changed," Rias said and everyone went to change, before long they all came back wearing Kuoh Academy's gym uniform.

"Well, what do you specialize in Adam-san?" Akeno asked since if he was a magic type it would help Asia and her, but...

'Looking at those muscles, he is most likely a close combat type, too bad I won't have enough time to talk with him,' Akeno thought as her gaze moved up and down examining Adam's body quite thoroughly.

"I specialize in everything, the real question here is, what do you guys want to learn?" Adam looked at all of them and they blinked.

A person who specialized in everything? All types of weapons and All types of Magic? They were getting a bit skeptical, thinking that Adam might've fooled Rias…

'But, Rias looks confident. Hmm….' The interest in Akeno's eye got deeper as the training began after they told Adam about what they wanted help with.

Two Hours Later…

"A-Ah, I might die," Issei said as he was lying down on the ground with injuries all over.

"Don't lay down, get up and start the physical training," Adam said and Issei could just cry as he started to do Push-ups and squats quickly.

Because if he didn't…

'He'll beat me up more!!' Issei shouted and made up his mind to get some revenge on Adam later.

"You shouldn't be looking away during a spar," Kiba said as slashed at Adam's neck but the attack was dodged.

"And you shouldn't be speaking while attacking someone from behind," Adam easily slipped past Kiba's multiple slashes as he punched Kiba launching him back as he collided into a barrier and fell down on the ground, "Your attacks lack intent, Now start doing your exercises while thinking how to improve, analyze everything and think how to avoid making the same mistake, I can tell you about it but it won't make as big of a difference when you solve it yourself."

"Also nice sneak attack," Adam said as he blocked Koneko's kick that was aimed right at his head before he grabbed her leg and flung her in the air.

"Hup," But Koneko landed on her feet and as she did, she was hit in the back of her head with a punch and fell down face first.

"Koneko-chan!!" Issei shouted in horror as he saw how Adam had no regard for genders, he didn't even pull his punches against someone as cute as Koneko.

Adam just didn't care as he went on to talk…

"But you should learn how to hide your presence more and put more power into your attacks, also don't think you are safe just because you landed on the ground," Adam said and soon three more people came from around the house running.

It was Rias, Akeno, and Asia, but the thing was that they weren't running toward the injured.

"H-How long do we need to run like this?" Rias asked while breathing heavily, but it wasn't her alone, even Akeno and Asia were sweating like no tomorrow.

"Keep going till I say stop," Adam said and Rias couldn't help but shout.

"But we are magic users, why are you making us train so extensively Adam?"

"Even if you mainly use magic, having your trained body would help you reduce the use of magic which is used to strengthen your body, and that magic can be used to increase your firepower instead, come on now, I better not see your legs stop," Adam said and Rias couldn't find a way to counter that but.

"I-I understand that but, Why did you place this gravity spell on us? Hah* It is …making things worse!" Rias gasped as her breasts jiggled while she ran with difficulty.

"It is for sci-Ahem* Training,"

She wanted to complain but…

'I know he is doing this for my benefit,' Rias was very thankful to Adam for listening to her selfish request, if he wanted to he could've just ended the engagement by making Riser disappear but…

'I don't want him to live in hiding,' Rias knew that she had just made a really selfish decision.

Two hours later, Koneko, Issei, and Yuuto were lying on the ground covered in bruises. They were so tired that they couldn't even move a single muscle in their body.

And not far from them Asia, Rias, and Akeno were sitting on the ground gasping for air, they too were exhausted.

"Alright now it is your turn," Adam walked over to the three girls and Rias couldn't help but complain.

"L-Let us rest a little, we are exhausted,"

"It is because you are exhausted that now is the best time for you to train your Magic control," Adam said as he took out three small identical boxes.

"What type of magic control training happens when one is exhausted?" Rias asked and Adam explained.

"The true test of your control will happen when you are on your last leg, you won't always be in your top condition before every battle, so you need to make sure that you can control your magic efficiently when you are exhausted just like the way you do when you are in top shape," Adam had always trained any skill to the point that he can perform it in any condition no matter how bad.

"I feel dizzy," Asia looked like she was barely holding herself together, she was physically the weakest among them so she took the hardest hit from the training.

"That is good, when some of your senses are failing you'll be able to understand how to use your skills from a different perspective and later that experience will help you increase your precision with the given task, Now take these," Adam said as he gave the boxes to the three.

"What are these?" Akeno asked looking at the contraption that reminded her of a sphygmomanometer but inside the tube, there was some other type of liquid aside from mercury with small lights going alongside the tube and holding it in their hands, Rias and Akeno had a hunch at what it was.

"As you are thinking, it is a device to train your magic control," The three looked up and Adam as he continued, "You need to use your magical power to make the liquid go up and down the tube making it reach the designated light that is flashing, it will start off slow with one part ever ten seconds but will get harder the more levels you pass, Each level will have a series of flashing lights so you'll need to pay attention."

"How will we know that we passed or failed the level?"
