"This…" Fubuki's psychic energy and abilities increased by leaps and bounds in an instant.
Her physical and mental stats shot up like never before. She felt that even facing Grayfia became possible at this moment. But, one look towards the maid in blue and she looked away again.
'Leaving that aside, such a power spike… So, this is the reason why those heroes are around him. It is like a buff… but to such an extent?' She thought while finishing the ice cream in two more bites.
"Can I have some more?" Fubuki blurted out before catching herself. She started to sweat as her face went pale and a possible scenario went through her head.
"Don't look so scared, it isn't laced with any drug. This is thanks to my ability. I can apply it through a food item or directly like this." Adam chuckled and pointed his hand towards Eyelashes.
"W-What… why do I feel so strong?" Eyelashes started to shake, but when Mountain Ape tried to check up on him. The lanky Eyelashes picked that giant of a man with one hand as if lifting a cardboard box.
"T-This…?" Even Mountain Ape couldn't comprehend it. He couldn't break free of Eyelashes grip and the man never had such strength in his life.
Watching this, Fubuki turned back to look at Adam. She didn't need further explanation to understand the situation.
'His ability is amplification of other's abilities and physical attributes. Such a convenient trump card! Even if he isn't around as long one eats the ice cream prepared in advance, they can catch their opponents off-guard and turn the tides!' Her green eyes shone with a new light.
It came full circle. She understood why so many Class S Heroes were here, and why they were ready to defend him.
'He has such insane value. Not only as a buff user but overall.' Fubuki hid her trembling hands below the table to look composed. Her eyes shone at the lucrative prospect before her, and it did nothing but strengthen her resolve to get him on her side.
'If he joins the Blizzard Group then I wouldn't have to go around recruiting anyone. Everyone, even the S Ranks will come to me without lifting a finger.' Understanding who she had to target, Fubuki became even more confident as the chance to further her partnership with him lay on the table.
"So, what do you say?" He asked. But, Fubuki's answer wouldn't change. Refusing this would be beyond foolish.
"About the offer, can I add a few conditions?" Of course, she wouldn't just nod along blindly.
An hour passed before the Blizzard Group exited the shop. They looked as pristine as when they entered. One would even believe that they had bought the whole shop, yet only they knew what happened inside.
"Fubuki-sama, we were planning on recruiting him… how did we end up working for him?" At Mountain Ape's question, Fubuki turned her attention away from the car window to look at him.
"We aren't working for him. We are working with him. This is an equal and exclusive partnership. He has the product and we'll deal with it. That is totally normal in the industry." Her words sounded strong and convincing enough for her two subordinates to nod with a sense of pride about their accomplishment. However, she knew deep down what this was.
'Right now, he does have the upper hand in the deal. But, I made sure to tie him down with our group for now.' Fubuki proposed to be the sole group responsible for dealing with the ice cream, and he accepted. Something she totally foresaw as he signed it on the contract she made on the napkin.
'Soon, I'll absorb his group into mine and have control over the Hero Association. With group members in Rank S and this product, I wouldn't have to worry about anyone. Blizzard Group will become the strongest group in the world!' But, for now, she had her eyes focused on the keys in her hand.
"Let's go to our New headquarters and hold a party!" Her lips had a big smile as Mountain Ape and Eyelashes looked excited about their new home. Not only them, even the other members who heard the news couldn't believe it, but they all expressed their happiness.
This was just another perk of working with Adam. It made her wonder, how much did that man have in terms of Assets? He gave them such a big mansion in a prime location like nothing. With the Ice cream, even if he didn't sell it officially he should've made tons of money off it. Such an effective booster of abilities has never come to light, so it must've been dealt with in the dark or he just has tons of money.
'I'll find more by working on this project alongside him. He has rank S connections, assets, and an incredible ability to boot. Such a big catch cannot be missed!' Leaving the car Fubuki walked into the enormous mansion with swagger typing away at her phone.
She wasn't one to slack off because of a big contract. Especially because she had made such a big deal, it was time to work twice as hard. While the other members worked hard to prepare the party alongside the mansion's staff. She pulled all her connections to spread the word about the product they'll deal with.
'Even if he had not shown his product to the world openly, I'll have it reach every important executive of Hero Association. They need to know what a big opportunity they're missing out on.' Going to those tedious high-class parties to suffer as those idiots tried to hit on her was exhausting. But, she felt rewarded for that as her words spread like wildfire.
During those parties, she had built quite a reputation and connections, and those helped at this moment.
"That's it, fall into this trap. You'll never be able to escape again." Fubuki smiled as inquiries poured in almost instantly. Although she didn't expect a response this big, this worked in her favor.
With this, Blizzard Group would take its first step into the main battlefield, which was the Hero Association's inner circle.
