"A Purified Silver Bullet?"

Fang Li immediately recognized the silver bullet that Riko had taken out.

This was a type of silver bullet blessed by the church, inscribed with spells or Sanskrit letters, and specially designed to deal with individuals with super abilities.

Fang Li knew of this bullet because it was sold in Butei High's purchasing department. Although the price couldn't match the cost of Butei's regular ammunition, it was still extremely expensive and only used by those actively fighting on the front lines.

"If it were just an ordinary Purified Silver Bullet, it could only be used against super abilities. But this particular bullet not only has magical properties but also bears inscriptions from Kanossa students of the Roman Butei High School, blessed by the Pope of Vatican City. Its effectiveness against vampires is extraordinary."

Riko held the Purified Silver Bullet with a complex expression on her face.

"Originally, I kept this Purified Silver Bullet hidden for dealing with Vlad, but after Vlad was defeated by Li Li, it had no more use."

Now, with Hilda's appearance, Riko retrieved the bullet but still found it no longer applicable.

Given Riko's complicated expression, it was clear she understood that this Purified Silver Bullet alone would not be enough to defeat Hilda.

If she could hit Hilda with it, Hilda's infinite regenerative abilities would be nullified, preventing her from healing.

But that alone wouldn't be enough to bring Hilda down.

Moreover, on the Sky Tree, Hilda had shown power even greater than Vlad's.

The third form, known as "God," required the absorption of natural lightning to be activated. Its use was highly limited, and if not in a thunderstorm, it would be unusable. Yet, today Hilda had successfully transformed into that form.

Once in that form, even with the Purified Silver Bullet, Riko would still be unable to defeat Hilda.

Riko seemed to have anticipated this outcome.

But she still chose to resist.

"This isn't something Riko would usually do," Riko said with a hint of self-mockery. "As long as it's for freedom, I'd even sell my soul to the devil without hesitation. I always thought of myself as that kind of person."

So, in the past, Riko, despite Vlad's baseless words, still chose to hold on to hope to prove she was better than her ancestors and not a waste. I challenged Aria and even facilitated Fang Li and Aria's involvement.

This time, it was probably Hilda who found Riko and used sweet talk, such as promising freedom upon completing a mission, as an excuse to make Riko a Grenada (Servant) spy, to get close to Fang Li.

Fang Li could imagine what kind of emotions Riko harbored that night when she approached him and what feelings led her to abandon her role as a spy and choose to resist instead.

All of this, simply because of a few unintended words Fang Li had said.

Fang Li couldn't help but smile wryly and said:

"Why didn't you just tell me and ask for my help?"

Although Fang Li wasn't a benevolent divine figure, having known Riko for a whole year, even without a deep bond, they were friends.

Had Riko directly asked for help, Fang Li wouldn't have hesitated to assist the unfortunate girl.

But Riko hadn't.

"Because…"

Riko turned around, adopting a battle maniac's standard expression, raising her hand, and making a shooting gesture at Fang Li.

"Because Li Li is Aria's ally, and Aria is Riko's arch-enemy."

"Sooner or later, Riko will defeat Holmes and prove she won't lose to her great-grandfather."

But this time, Riko wasn't fighting for freedom; she was fighting to prove her own existence.

"For now, Li Li still belongs to Aria."

"But Riko absolutely will steal Li Li away, you know?"

"After all, Riko is a thief."

Leaving these words behind, Riko smiled and fluttered away like a butterfly returning to a flowerbed, gracefully disappearing into the depths of the room.

Watching Riko, Fang Li's expression turned to a mix of helplessness and amusement.

"You're so free-spirited, yet still craving freedom. You've really had it tough…"

Perhaps feeling a sense of empathy towards Fang Li's words, Aria, who was lying on the bed and snoring, turned over and muttered a few complaints that made Fang Li laugh despite himself.

After all, the Far East Warfare had only just begun.

This war, solely between Superhumans and non-humans, was not something that could simply come to an end easily.

The issues with Hilda and Watson were merely the prologue.

And this prologue was already quite terrifying.

Watson represented a massive power, and Hilda had the potential abilities surpassing even Sherlock.

Without Fang Li, it was hard to imagine who else could handle this situation.

Given that the prologue was already this severe, what more arduous challenges would follow?

At least, Fang Li had a premonition.

"The real war is only just beginning…"

---

The next day, as soon as Fang Li got up, he received a phone call.

The caller was Watson.

Watson only gave Fang Li one sentence.

"Come to me. I have something to discuss."

After saying that, Watson hung up and, about ten seconds later, sent an SMS with the address.

Fang Li was neither surprised nor dismayed. Instead, he leisurely went through his morning routine, sent SMS messages to Aria and Shirayuki informing them of his leave for the day, and then left the dormitory. He even left Academy Island and made his way to the city.

Watson's specified location was a restaurant in Odaiba.

The restaurant was on the third floor of the Nikko Tokyo Hotel. It was European-style and seemed popular among foreigners from the United States, the United Kingdom, and France. Aria had been there several times, and Fang Li had previously been there (under duress) with Riko, so he was quite familiar with the place.

Thus, Fang Li arrived at the restaurant, and, guided by a waiter, found Watson in a corner of the dining area.

"Have you arrived?"

Watson looked up and, after a sigh, spoke.

"Have a seat."

Hearing this, Fang Li didn't hesitate and took a seat directly in front of Watson.

Then, Watson wasted no time with small talk and directly stated:

"I've given up on Aria."
