3rd POV
Dameas grinned while inspecting his surroundings, he saw two humans talking to each other so he proceeded to watch in amusement. "Genib, please take Tania away from here and help Julius to evacuate" Ascella asked Genib who was about to reject that order as she felt it was too dangerous to let him fight a demon general but the emotionless stare that Ascella gave her stopped the spirit from continuing. "Good luck.." Tania gave her blessing as she ran along with Genib.
"Is the show finish? You certainly kept me waiting! Show something that is worth the wait human!" Dameas shouted as he dashed infront of Magnum. He raised one of his hand intending to slap Magnum but it failed when Magnum's hand reached his plexus. The force of the hit was something that Damaes never thought he would be able to experience from a mere human. Damaes didn't stop his attacks as he fired a barrage of punches at Magnum. "Really foolish.." Magnum muttered while clenching his fist hard and plunging it at Damaes's face making the demon falter.
Magnum didn't stop at just that as he grabbed a debris from a house and started pummeling the demon. It was a scary scene, a small human beating a humungous monster with no emotions held in his face. Its as if what he is doing is nothing but a chore, no effort could be seen in his moves, rather than fighting as monster it looked like a adult messing with a baby. Magnum stopped his hands when he noticed something weird. "Hah! You finally noticed?! I the great Damaes is immune to physical attacks! That is the boon that was bestowed to me by the Great Demon King! No matter what you do, it will all end in useless!" Damaes sneered.
Even though Damaes was saying that, he is actually concern inside. The strength that this little human has is terrifying, he could not even do anything and just stay being pummeled to the ground. But he is rather confident in his boon that even affects the other favored ones. "You will never be able to defeat me human!" Damaes shouted before stomping his feet on the ground shaking the whole town. Magnum who is now moving without thinking about the surroundings didn't only not stop the shockwave but even used one of his own.
Magnum raised his foot and gave a quick kick at Damaes's gut intending to punch through and destroy his organs only for it to fail. "Gagagaga! A boon is absolute! The power of the demon king who is on par or even higher than the gods is not to be looked down to!" Damaes throw one of his punches as it connected with Magnum's jaw sending the guy flying at speed not visible to naked eyes. Magnum was planted on the town walls but he just stood up as if nothing happened. The expression on his face made it hard for Damaes to know if he got damaged or his punch really did nothing to this guy.
Damaes was getting alarms ringing on his head from fighting Magnum so he continues his assault and started throwing Magnum everywhere destroying everything that his body hit. But the disturbing thing is the guy who is being flung has no visible injury or even scratch on his skin. Magnum slowly stood up, he placed force on his legs forcing it to speed up resulting to Magnum immediately arriving at Damaes's side. Magnum raised his feet again and released it at Damaes's thigh. The attack hit its target as the shockwave destroyed 3 buildings in the process.
But just like Magnum, Damaes has no damage on his body. Magnum didn't mind that as he just continued his ferocious attacks. "Gagagaga! Do you not learn human? Physical attacks has no effect on me!" He shouted while grabbing Magnum's body and trying to bite it. Even in emotionless state, Magnum still has his instinct telling him what to do so he just followed it and escaped Damaes's grip. "Fool.. " Magnum once again muttered this time angering the demon as he already heard this insult three times. The demon howled loudly gaining the attention of people from other town.
Damaes's anger was reaching the sky as his face contorted into rage. "I won't hold back this time!" He screamed as something emerged from his body. Black aura started oozing out causing destruction to everything it came contact with. "Since we orcs are naturally devoid of mana, I created a technique to incorporate the other natural thing in this world! I ranked 3rd in the army because of this ability! As long as hatred and fear is spread in my surroundings, I gain power!" Damaes explained his ability as Magnum just stared at it blankly. He doesn't consider this thing as dangerous at all.
"Whats with that face!? You should learn how to fear! Just like that despaired expression earlier!" Damaes was pissed at his no reaction as he flickered in the back of Magnum and slapped it. The impact was so strong that even the town walls couldn't handle it anymore. Magnum's body flew out of the town before arriving in a outskirt with nothing but plain grass. Not even a second later, Damaes also appeared sneering thinking that this might be the human's last struggle considering that he can already see a bruise on his face. "Is that it..? You destroyed my expectations of you humans" he commented as Magnum ignored it, he was patting his body to remove the dust that gathered earlier.
Magnum finished his actions as he stared at Damaes with the same blank eyes. "I already said this earlier but.. fool. I never mention anything about being a physical warrior. You are a orc right? I can tell since I already fought one before.. you fight and act like one. But here is one thing you should know.. I never once lose a fight, whether with my brother or even my father.. I never lost to them" Magnum said with his one hand raised in the air. A purple ball appeared before it vanished and planted on Damaes's side. "Ugh!! What is that?! And chantless?!" He roared in pain as this is the first time he felt pain from an attack that was released by a human.
Damaes thought that it would be over just like that, but the scene infront of him says otherwise. Hundreds of the same ball were floating in the air almost reaching the number of thousand. They were shining beautifully that contradicts with how strong their damage is. One of the ball hit the ground causing a dust explosion that created a crater. This show just how much damage one of it could do, Magnum didn't even consider Damaes's feelings as he fired the volleys of purple balls. Hell has appeared. Damaes could only crouch to protect his body from the barrage of magic missiles. "Is that it? You destroyed my expectations.. demon" Magnum returned Damaes's words making the demon general grit his teeth in frustration.
"Haa!! You won't take me down with just this human!" He gave a warcry before starting circling all around and dodging the magic missiles last second to null its effects. 'Yes! This is working' Damaes thought as he continued not knowing that Magnum is staring at him like a fool running rampart on the ground. "Let's continue the show. Mana, form a cumulonimbus" Magnum ordered as the mana began working, large amount of it rose in the air forming a rather huge formations of clouds that made the day turn night in a matter of seconds. The temperature in the atmosphere began lowering signaling that a storm is coming.
"Now, drop one" Magnum muttered as a big flash blinded everyone.
BOOM!!
A large lightning fell into the figure of Damaes. "GAAAAAHH!!!" Damaes screamed loudly, his supposed to be invincible skin was getting burned by the heavy lightning. Damaes tried to control his breathe when he heard the voice of the hateful human, "Another one" before he could even comprehend what that means, another lightning fell on his body disintegrating his arm. Alarms rang all over his senses, the thoughts that was all over around suddenly cooperated and lead to a single one. It was to escape.
Damaes ignored everything around him as he pushed his body to run as fast as he can. This is the first time that he ever felt a terror like this, he wanted to think that this is a dream but the pain on his whole body was rejecting the notion. "Rain.. fall" Damaes heard another muttering as he instinctively looked at the sky. Rain started to fall, but the scary thing is the raindrops are heavy! Each of them created destruction that a mage could only do if he concentrated all of his power in one area. One of the raindrop fell on Damaes's shoulder as it carved through his flesh. "AAAGGH!!! T-This..!? Stop human!" Damaes saw that he couldn't run anymore so he just faced his fear and tried to stop Magnum but he was met with the same blank look that was staring at him earlier.
This time Damaes finally understood the creepiness of that stare as his whole body shivered in cold. "You are nothing but a side character in this world that I weave. A side character must do what he is needed to.. that is to die for the growth of the protagonist" Magnum said staring intently at Damaes who was shaking from fright. It was taking all of he got just to stay standing infront of this monster wearing a human skin. He refuses to believe that this being is a fickle human that he could easily trample on.
"N-No! This can't be! His Majesty must be notified of his existence! Less the demon race will be erase by this guy! There is no other choice!" Damaes gritted his teeth as his placed all of his resolve into one solution that he could do. This is last card that he could use in a emergency situation like this, it was given to them by the demon king so that they could notify him when a threat they could not handle appear. They initially thought it was stupid since according to their strengths, there are no races that could best them except for Great Spirits, Dragons and Fae. But seeing this thing infront of him, Damaes couldn't help but agree with the demon king's decision to give them this ability.
Damaes punched his chest hard that it echoed to the battlefield. His heart began beating faster along with something emerging from his skin. The red skin that he possess was slowly being dyed by black as the something finally revealed itself as tattoos! Tattoos surrounded his whole body that it covered almost everything except for his eyes. His horns grew and shone black. Magnum saw the transformation but didn't interrupt him as he was curious to what this demon's struggle will gonna do. "Haah! Haah! Haah! You are strong human.. I accept that. But your journey ends here!" Damaes commented finally sucking every single miasma in the surroundings. Both of them stared at each other clearly ready for the second round that will cause more destruction.
