Chapter 63 - Rejecting Support (12)

...Omegas and alphas are exactly the opposite?

Bo Xiyun hadn't anticipated this situation at all. He had assumed that individuals of the S-class, be they alpha or omega, would have a hard time finding compatible partners.

Yet omegas could potentially match with multiple partners, while alphas struggled at higher ranks. Lin Shu had based his information on medical literature and clinical data, and it appeared to be legitimate. However, in the next moment, Bo Xiyun quickly realized something concerning.

If he were indeed tested as an S-class, his several elder brothers might exploit him.

While the likelihood of such an occurrence was slim, given the rarity of S-class individuals, Bo Xiyun couldn't help but have an unsettling premonition.

All he could do was hope that Murphy's Law would not apply in this situation.

(Tn: For those who  don't know Murphy's law, it states "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.")

With that in mind, Young Master Bo suddenly spoke up, addressing Lin Shu.

"How is the preparation and budget planning for this film going?"

Bo Xiyun had just undergone the pheromone ranking test, and it was imminent. He anticipated that the Bo family would not miss this opportunity. Instead of staying in tightly controlled Hong Kong, he might even take the chance to venture to the mainland with his investment.

"Song Lang has already prepared a comprehensive proposal."

Seeing the young master's interest, Lin Shu promptly replied and motioned for Song Lang, who was standing nearby, to join them.

While the three of them were chatting, the stern-looking man who had just entered the room approached. Lin Shu noticed Wen Xiusen and waved him over, begrudgingly restating what he had just discussed with Bo Xiyun.

It was only in matters related to their profession that Lin Shu displayed such eagerness.

However, when Wen Xiusen heard it, he immediately declined.

"Sorry."

"What's wrong?"

Lin Shu was puzzled because he had spoken to Wen Xiusen before the ceremony, and the actor had no scheduling conflicts. Moreover, this was a rare opportunity for Wen Xiusen to play such a standout role.

"Do you not like this script? Or do you not prefer playing an alpha?"

Wen Xiusen's response was neither. He simply stated, "I prefer taking on emotional roles."

Lin Shu suddenly realized, "Oh, right, I forgot about that."

While it was unfortunate, Lin Shu understood that this was indeed the case, and he didn't press Wen Xiusen further.

On the side, Song Lang joked, "Speaking of which, I heard that Teacher Wen has been turning down roles for a while. Is there someone special in your life now?"

Lin Shu shook his head and explained on Wen Xiusen's behalf, "Yes. Wen Xiusen has very high standards for his emotional expressions and strives for perfection. He feels that he can only accept roles with meaningful love scenes."

Hearing all of this, the young Master Bo sitting next to him pursed his lips.

Although Director Lin made a valid point, in reality, he was more inclined to believe that the truth was just as Song Lang had suggested.

It was because Wen Xiusen had been financially supported by him for three years that he was allowed to take on roles with love scenes.

Regarding this, the person in question, Wen Xiusen, didn't say much.

This topic was soon brushed aside.

Because the official celebration had already taken place during the movie's box office settlement, this gathering was just a small internal celebration, and the atmosphere was much more relaxed.

Bo Xiyun didn't linger at the celebration for too long. He had initially planned to stay a bit longer because the hotel had a variety of excellent cheese dishes. However, in the end, the young master left the venue ahead of time.

He left with Wen Xiusen.

Because Wen Xiusen had told him, "The pheromones have a limited time."

Leaving the hotel, the two of them got into Wen Xiusen's RV.

After leaving the banquet hall, it was inevitable that they would have a slight alcohol scent, and the enclosed space of the car became somewhat stuffy.

Bo Xiyun leaned back in his seat, and his forehead was throbbing slightly, indicating the onset of some motion sickness.

However, what surprised the young master was that as the vehicle started, he didn't actually feel dizzy at all.

Gradually, the interior of the car was filled with the faint scent of Wen Xiusen's cologne, a mild fragrance that lingered at the tip of Bo Xiyun's nose, refreshing his senses with every breath.

(Tn: Nostalgia...)

This sensation made the young master visibly more comfortable.

Bo Xiyun raised his gaze and looked at Wen Xiusen, who was busy handling messages on his laptop. The cold light from the screen cast a frosty, winter-like glow on his handsome features, emphasizing the sharp and icy contours of an alpha. Yet, the pheromones emanating from Wen Xiusen, which Bo Xiyun was inhaling, carried a hint of gentleness.

The scent of frost and snow also seemed to clear and soothe Bo Xiyun's thoughts.

He was well aware that his older brothers wouldn't easily give up, and his appearance tonight would likely attract their attention.

Just as Bo Xiyun was listening to the vibration inside the car, he heard it(his phone) ring.

Even though he had two phones in his pocket, Bo Xiyun didn't reach for them. He had muted both phones as soon as he took them out. The incoming call was for Wen Xiusen, and out of politeness, Bo Xiyun leaned slightly to avoid overhearing someone else's conversation.

However, as the journey continued, he realized there was no need to avoid it entirely. Given the timing and the fact that the call was not directly for Wen Xiusen, Bo Xiyun could guess that it was related to him.

So, the young master wondered whether Wen Xiusen would answer the call or if there would be some sort of soundproof partition set up between them.

However, the man beside him glanced at the screen, told him to be quiet, and proceeded to answer the call directly.

With no soundproofing in place, Bo Xiyun naturally overheard the conversation.

"Ha."

The first thing that came from the phone was a lazy chuckle.

As expected, the call was from Second young master Bo.

"Why did you take him to the awards ceremony? To flaunt your newfound trophy?"

Second young master Bo's tone was undoubtedly familiar when addressing Wen Xiusen. He didn't even use a proper form of address, just straight to the point.

"It's a matter of rights."

Wen Xiusen's voice remained low and cold, his usual emotionless demeanor.

"This is our agreement."

Listening from the sidelines, Bo Xiyun felt that indeed some kind of agreement had been reached between the two parties.

When it came down to it, they both had their own reasons. Second young master Bo wanted to exclude Bo Xiyun from the picture, while Wen Xiusen sought some form of retribution for his past sponsorship.

But even if Bo Xiyun differentiated as Omega or was taken over by someone else, he still carried the Bo surname and would eventually inherit a share of the Bo family's legacy.

Bo Xiyun wondered if Second young master Bo and the others had any further plans.

In this phone call, Second young master Bo only mentioned the current issue.

"Isn't it time to test his level? Get it done tonight, and the results won't be out until tomorrow. Send me his level as soon as you have it."

The urgency in Second young master Bo's tone was palpable.

However, Wen Xiusen didn't even lift an eyelid and replied flatly, "We can go ahead."

"His pheromones are stable; we can test him tonight," Wen Xiusen continued.

Second young master Bo sounded somewhat impatient, "Stable? Just puncture the gland, and you can still test it."

Wen Xiusen retorted coldly, "If you damage the gland, how will you use it?"

As they continued their conversation, Bo Xiyun listened on the side, occasionally glancing at Wen Xiusen.

Wen Xiusen didn't return his gaze.

The call went on, and in the end, Second young master Bo reluctantly agreed to postpone the testing.

However, he only agreed to delay it for one day.

"At the latest tomorrow night, you better hurry," Second young master Bo's words hung in the air.

The call ended, and the car returned to silence, with no voices for quite some time.

After a while, Young Master Bo tilted his head and looked at Wen Xiusen, who remained expressionless, and softly asked, "That sentence you just said..."

Without needing to explain further, he was referring to Wen Xiusen's rather sinister-sounding remark: "If you damage the gland, how will you use it?"

Bo Xiyun continued in a hushed tone, "It sounded like something a villain in a movie would say, pretending to be evil..."

He paused before completing his thought, "But in reality, you're the hardworking hero."

"..."

Wen Xiusen, who had a slightly furrowed brow, didn't respond.

His finely arched eyebrows subtly relaxed, giving his entire demeanor a sense of depth and seriousness.

Coincidentally, the car arrived at its destination at that moment, pulling up in front of a two-story building.

Bo Xiyun opened the door, preparing to exit the car.

The car doors in the back were all capable of opening, allowing passengers to disembark on either side. Bo Xiyun assumed Wen Xiusen would exit on the other side, so he walked out and prepared to close the door.

However, Young Master Bo was taken aback when Wen Xiusen unexpectedly exited the car from his side. Wen Xiusen reached out and scooped up the young man, who had just landed and stabilized himself.

"Uh...?!"

Bo Xiyun looked surprised but couldn't stop Wen Xiusen's actions. From the moment he heard Wen Xiusen's words, Wen Xiusen had no intention of letting go of the young man. He simply carried him and strode upstairs.

Although Bo Xiyun was still bewildered by this unconventional way of going upstairs, the bodyguards around them remained unfazed, showing no signs of surprise.

Even when Wen Xiusen, still carrying Bo Xiyun, entered the building and encountered the landlady, who was still awake, she didn't seem shocked at all. She greeted them as if nothing unusual was happening.

"Back already?"

The landlady, wearing thick oven gloves, asked Bo Xiyun warmly.

"Does Xiyun want some freshly baked teddy bear cookies?"

Before Young Master Bo could respond, he heard Wen Xiusen coldly reject the offer.

"He has something else to eat."

"Oh..."

The landlady seemed to understand and looked slightly disappointed.

It appeared that the additional treats she had prepared might not be needed.

Young Master Bo, who was in a dazed state throughout the entire process, was carried all the way up to the bedroom and into the warm room.

In his heart, there was still a glimmer of hope. However, when the young man was placed on the soft bed and he saw Wen Xiusen looming over him, casting a deep and foreboding shadow that covered him entirely, Bo Xiyun could no longer feel at ease. He stuttered as he spoke.

"Are... Are you joking?"

He had only made a straightforward comment earlier, thinking there was no need to make a big deal out of it. However, Wen Xiusen, with his stern and cold gaze, showed no sign of joking.

Wen Xiusen knelt by the edge of the bed, his long legs looking even more superior. The strength in his lean and powerful waist and hips made it impossible for Bo Xiyun to escape from his imposing alpha presence.

Wen Xiusen glanced at his wristwatch as if pressed for time, and then he reached out to start unbuttoning Bo Xiyun's clothes.

These were the clothes that Wen Xiusen had personally helped him put on, and the dangerous aura was getting closer. Bo Xiyun was starting to piece together what Wen Xiusen intended to do.

In a hurry, he tried to come up with an excuse.

"You heard that... delaying the differentiation for so long might result in a higher level, which would be more suitable for you."

Wen Xiusen's movements paused for a moment, but then he lowered his gaze, his cold eyes fixed on the young man's face. He spoke with a stern tone.

"Your pheromone concentration is too low, which poses a risk. It needs stimulation."

Bo Xiyun was taken aback for a moment, realizing that he had misunderstood the situation. It turned out that Wen Xiusen was only trying to help him adjust his pheromone levels.

Before Bo Xiyun could speak, the gaze from Wen Xiusen had grown even darker.

The alpha spoke slowly, "So, have you already found someone suitable?"

Bo Xiyun hesitated, sensing that he should change the topic, especially considering the pressing matter at hand. Wen Xiusen's mention of his low pheromone concentration was likely in preparation for the upcoming level test. Generally, these tests were conducted shortly after differentiation to avoid unnecessary delays.

Bo Xiyun wasn't overly concerned about being manipulated by his older brothers; he was more intrigued by the possibility of being classified as the rare S-level.

The young master began to speak, intending to discuss the matter of the test with Wen Xiusen. However, before he could finish his sentence, he found himself entirely engulfed in Wen Xiusen's cool fragrance.

Wen Xiusen leaned in, planting a kiss on his lips.

Their lips met, gently melding together with warmth and tenderness. It was a soft and delicate kiss, void of dominance or intrusion, and their lips barely grazed each other's.

Amidst a whirlwind of surprise and confusion, Bo Xiyun detected a fleeting hint of sweet oranges.

This was a shallow kiss, no matter how gentle it was. There was no possession, no intrusion, and the boy's lips and teeth didn't even go deep.

It's just the gentle touch of lips.

However, in the midst of surprise and confusion, Bo Xiyun suddenly smelled the sweetness of orange.

The young man didn't feel much at all, and his pheromones were actually drawn out.

Even if the blame is placed on inactive glands, the reason is so pale.

He didn't even touch the glands on the back of his neck.

Just this light kiss increased the originally low pheromone concentration.

But what made Bo Xiyun doubt even more was what Wen Xiusen said.

The man didn't get up, his thin lips still landed on the young master's lips, touching the sweet softness, and pressed every inch of it without missing a beat.

Their noses brushed against each other, the high and prominent bridge of the alpha's nose lightly grazing the delicate tip of the omega's. It created an illusion of intimate closeness.

"Cirrus,"

(Tn: Originally in English)

Whispered by the man with their tongues intertwined in a passionate kiss, it was the English name of the young omega.

Cirrus, like the soft and fluffy high-altitude clouds in the distant sky, free and ethereal.

The normally cold and magnetic voice of Wen Xiusen grew even huskier.

"Before, I never kissed you."

Tn: Cirrus is a Latin originated word meaning "lock of hair" but usually the name is characterized as bright and warm.

I made a mistake with the last line.
