It has been weeks since that happened, and my friends and classmates they always tease me about it, but Gray became even colder. He distanced himself to us or should I say to me. During break time, he doesn't join us anymore. He's so quiet when our friends talk in class, and when we happen to cross paths, he suddenly changes direction.
Maybe he felt guilty about what happened between us, well, it doesn't matter to me. I've accepted it.
It's already late, and tomorrow I will go to Gray's sister's shop to get the gown because prom is coming soon and the theme is masquerade. I'm still chatting in the group chat.
PHOEBE: @everyone, we have a connection with my mom's acquaintance who can do our makeup, and don't worry, she'll do it for free.
KATH: Please tell your mom thanks.
ME: Thanks, Phoebe.
JANE: Yay!
PHOEBE: Except for Jane.
BLAKE: HAHAHAHA, Jane isn't included.
JANE: (LIKEZONE)
PHOEBE: Oh, she's upset. Don't be mad, it's just a joke. Hahahahh.
JANE: (SEEN)
PHOEBE: @gray, are you coming?
GRAY: Yes.
BLAKE: Wow, what a cold reply, dude.
KATH: Yeah, even I feel the coldness. let me warm it up for you(heart emoji)
PHOEBE: YIIIIEEEE.
BLAKE: YIIIEE.
I didn't open the group chat anymore and went to sleep. Tomorrow, I will ask Gray's sister to help me talk to gray

I'm going to Gray's sister's shop now to pick up the gown. When I entered, Gray's sister wasn't there, so her assistant took care of me and gave me the gown.
I was about to leave when I bumped into Gray. He was about to avoid me, but I held his hand.
"Can we talk?" I asked.
He sighed and said, "Wait for me here. I just need to give something inside."
I waited for him for a few minutes before he came out, and we went to a nearby park to talk there.
As we settled down on a bench in the park, there was a moment of silence between us. The tension in the air was palpable, but I mustered up the courage to break it.
"Gray, I know that you feel guilty about what you did to me, but I have already accepted it and I already have a prom date, so you don't have to worry or feel guilty. Just be the Gray I knew before because I miss the way we used to be—the laughter and the friendship we shared," I said.
"I'm really sorry, Emily. I feel ashamed to face you because of what I did. Believe me, I didn't want this to happen. Thank you for understanding," he said.
"It's okay now, Gray. So, you won't be cold to me anymore and avoid me?" I asked.
He just laughed.
As I saw him laugh, a sense of relief washed over me. It was as if a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Maybe, just maybe, things could go back to the way they were. I couldn't help but smile back at Gray, hoping that our friendship could be rekindled.
"Gray, I'm glad to see you laughing again," I said, my voice filled with sincerity. "I've missed our lighthearted moments and the bond we shared. It would mean a lot to me if we could start over and rebuild our friendship."
"I will make it up to you, I'll treat you at the nearby restaurant," he said.
I couldn't refuse anymore because he pulled me and made me get in his car. He took me to the restaurant where Nicholas and I used to eat, and it just made me smile when I remembered that.
"Why are you smiling like that? Are you happy because I treated you?" he said, laughing. I just nodded in response.
After we got off the car, we simply ate and talked about various things. It was also a bonding moment for us.
While we were chatting, someone suddenly tapped me on the shoulder, and it was Nicholas. A mixture of surprise and joy washed over me.
"Hey Emily," he greeted.
"Hello, what are you doing here?" I asked.
"I should be the one asking you that. Didn't I introduce you to this place?" he said, raising his eyebrows up and down.
I chuckled at Nicholas's playful remark, feeling a sense of familiarity and warmth in his presence.
Suddenly, we heard someone clearing their throat to get our attention, and it was Gray.
"Oh, Gray, meet Nicholas. He's the one who asked me to be his prom date, and Nicholas, meet Gray. He's my friend," I introduced them to each other.
"Nice to meet you, bro," Gray said and offered a handshake.
"Same here, bro," they both shook hands, but their gaze lingered for a while, as if there was some anger between them.
I intervened and separated their hands. "Oh, Nicholas, we should get going ahead of you. We're heading home," I said, and look to gray signing that I need to go home because it's already night
"Oh, so you're leaving already," he said.
"Yeah, I might get scolded by my mom," I replied.
As Nicholas and I were saying our goodbyes to each other, someone suddenly called Gray. He answered the call, and his face turned pale upon hearing what the person on the other end said.
After he finished the conversation, I asked him what the problem was.
Concerned about Gray's sudden change in demeanor, I approached him with a worried expression on my face. "Gray, is everything okay? You seem upset. Did something serious happen?"
Gray looked at Nicholas and said, "I don't like you, but I trust you to safely take Emily home to her house. Emily, I'm sorry, but there's an emergency at home, and I need to be there. I'll explain everything when I'm ready," he said and hurriedly left.
I didn't get a chance to tell him to take care. Sighing, I chased after him because my gown was still in his car. Nicholas followed behind.
"Emily, why did you follow?" he asked.
"My gown is still inside your car," I said.
"Oh, here," he handed the gown to Nicholas.
"Gray, whatever your problem is, we're all here for you. So just come to us if you need comfort," I said, smiling.
"Thank you, Em," he replied with a smile, and he got into his car. I watched his car drive away until I couldn't see it anymore.
"So, ready to go?" Nicholas asked.
I sighed, "Sorry for inconveniencing you."
"No worries, I don't have anything important to do anyway," he reassured me.
We went to his car, and he drove me home. During the journey, I remained quiet, deep in thought about Gray's problem.
If it weren't for Nicholas waving his hand, I wouldn't have realized that we had arrived at my house.
We bid our goodbyes, and I waited for him to leave before entering my house.
"Oh, dear, how are you? Did you get the gown?" my mom greeted me.
"Here it is, Mom. I'll show it to you tomorrow; I'm feeling sleepy now," I replied.
"Don't you want to eat?" she asked.
"No, Mom, I'm already full," I said.
"well Goodnight, dear."
"Goodnight, Mom," I said as I entered my room. Sighing, I reflected on the events of the evening.
