Chapter 2 - Into the Tower
On the day Alina decided to explore the tower, she packed a bag with supplies and made her way through the woods. The journey was long and arduous, filled with steep hills and treacherous slopes, but as she drew nearer, Alina became filled with a sense of excitement that overshadowed her fear.
The tower itself was just as imposing as she remembered, its twisted spire reaching up into the sky like a finger beckoning her closer. The entrance to the tower was barred with heavy iron gates, but Alina had been practicing her magic and with a confident flick of her wand, she was able to unlock them.
Stepping inside, Alina found herself in a vast chamber, filled with strange, glowing crystals and otherworldly artifacts. The air was thick with the scent of ancient magic and the faint rustling sound of something moving in the shadows.
Alina felt a sense of unease creeping up on her, but that was quickly overpowered by her awe and fascination. She knew she had to explore further, and so she made her way through the labyrinthine passages, taking care to watch her step amidst the traps and obstacles.
It was then that she saw something that made her blood run cold. A figure, shrouded in a cloak, slipped past her in the shadows, moving with a fluid grace that suggested it was something other than human.
Alina had never believed in monsters, but that moment changed everything for her. The sound of the creature's footsteps echoed around her, and she knew she had to move quickly if she wanted to stay ahead of it.
With a deep breath, Alina cast a spell to conceal herself in the shadows and began moving through the halls with a swiftness she never knew she possessed. She heard the creature's footsteps growing closer, and her heart pounded in her chest.
She was not going to leave without the answers she came for, no matter what horrors lay in her path.
